Fluorescent and colorimetric dual-readout platform for tuberculosis point-of-care detection based on dual signal amplification strategy and quantum dot nanoprobe.

Rapid and accurate diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) is of great significance to control the spread of this devastating infectious disease. In this work, a sensitive and low-cost point-of-care testing (POCT) detection platform for TB was developed based on recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA)-catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA)-assisted dual signal amplification strategy. This platform could achieve homogeneous fluorescent and visual diagnosis of TB by using CdTe quantum dots (QDs) signal reporter.

Three-dimensional nasal asymmetry analysis between adolescence and adulthood in postoperative patients with unilateral cleft lip and palate using computed tomography.

Aim: To investigate the differences of the nasal soft and hard tissue asymmetry in postoperative patients with unilateral cleft lip and palate (UCLP) between adolescence and adulthood, and to explore the correlation of nasal soft and hard tissue asymmetry.

Methods: CT data from 47 repaired UCLP patients were included and divided into two groups:1. adolescent group: 23 patients (15 males, 8 females; age: 10-12 years old).

Sulfuric acid induced-synthesis coupled with ethanol extraction-water precipitation purification method for orange fluorescent carbon dots with dual-emission: Application for methyl blue detection and cell imaging.

In this work, by adjusting the sulfuric acid content in reaction solvent of ethanol, orange fluorescent carbon dots (O-FCDs) with dual-emission wavelength and blue fluorescent carbon dots (B-FCDs) with single-emission wavelength were successfully prepared using 1,3-dihydroxynaphthalene as precursor. Coupling with ethanol extraction-water precipitation purification method, pure O-FCDs and B-FCDs with yields of 9.0 % and 21.
