Introduction: Our study was conducted to prove that miR-509-5p improved the proliferative and invasive abilities of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) cells through inhibiting SFRP1 expression.
Material And Methods: QRT-PCR was conducted in order to detect the miR-509-5p expression levels in PTC and normal tissues. The miR-509-5p and SFRP1 mRNA expression levels in PTC cell lines K1, TPC-1, BCPAP and the human normal thyroid cell line HT-ori3 were also detected by qRT-PCR.
Purpose: The incidence of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) has dramatically increased over the past two decades. This study aimed to investigate the disparity of gene expression between PTC and normal tissues.
Materials And Methods: Gene chip data of E-GEOD-33630 and E-GEOD-60542 were acquired and downloaded from European Bioinformatics Institute Part of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory website.
Background: Patients and surgeons are typically satisfied with the cosmetic results of total endoscopic thyroidectomy using the complete areola approach. However, the disadvantages of this approach include an excessive free flap and a longer operative time.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted in 72 patients (64 women and 8 men) with a benign thyroid nodule who underwent non-unvisual dissection to establish the operating space for endoscopic surgery.
