This paper develops a heterogeneous multi-attribute case retrieval method for EDM that considers five attribute formats: crisp numbers, interval numbers, intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, single-valued neutrosophic numbers (SvNNs), and interval-valued neutrosophic numbers (IvNNs). First, we propose a similarity measurement of IvNNs and calculate the attribute similarities for the five attribute formats.

Trimeresurus gracilis (Tgc) is endemic to Taiwan and shown to be closely related with Ovophis okinavensis by previous phylogenetic analyses, but their taxonomic status remain controversial. Here, we cloned and sequenced ten of its venom serine-proteases (designated as Tgc-vSPs). All the Tgc-vSPs conserve the catalytic triads, six appear to be kallikrein-like (KNs) and four are plasminogen-activator homologs (PAHs and PAs).

Effect of Partial Fibula Osteotomy Combined with Arthroscopic Debridement Surgery in the Treatment of Medial Compartment Knee Osteoarthritis.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of partial fibula osteotomy combined with arthroscopic debridement surgery on the treatment of medial compartment knee osteoarthritis. From January 2013 to June 2016, 17 patients who suffered from medial compartment knee osteoarthritis were assigned to two groups: groups A ( = 5) and B ( = 12). Group A patients were treated with arthroscopic debridement surgery only, while group B patients received additional fibula osteotomy in addition to arthroscopic debridement operation.

Anti-Psoriasis Effects and Mechanisms of Α-(8-Quinolinoxy) Zinc Phthalocyanine-Mediated Photodynamic Therapy.

Background/aims: The aim of this study was to determine the anti-psoriasis effects of α-(8-quinolinoxy) zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc-F7)-mediated photodynamic therapy (PDT) and to reveal its mechanisms.

Methods: HaCaT cells were used to observe the influence of ZnPc-F7-PDT on cell proliferation in vitro. The in vivo anti-psoriasis effects of ZnPc-F7-PDT were evaluated using a mouse vagina model, a propranolol-induced cavy psoriasis model and an imiquimod (IMQ)-induced nude mouse psoriasis model.

Serine protease isoforms in Gloydius intermedius venom: Full sequences, molecular phylogeny and evolutionary implications.

Unlabelled: Nine distinct venom serine proteases (vSPs) of Gloydius intermedius were studied by transcriptomic, sub-proteomic and phylogenetic analyses. Their complete amino acid sequences were deduced after Expression Sequence Tag (EST) analyses followed by cDNA cloning and sequencing. These vSPs appear to be paralogs and contain the catalytic triads and 1-4 potential N-glycosylation sites.

Based on a scaffold we reported for inhibiting neuraminidase (NA), we synthesized the analogues and identified compounds with low micromolar inhibitory activity against 3CL(pro) of SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV.

Structures of Azemiops feae venom phospholipases and cys-rich-secretory protein and implications for taxonomy and toxinology.

The Azemiops snakes are pit-less and phylogenetically located at the Crotalinae and Viperinae divergence. cDNAs encoding five Azemiops venom phospholipase (sPLA2) molecules were cloned and sequenced; their signal-peptides were similar to those of crotalid sPLA2s. Based on their calculated pI-values and residue-49 substitutions, they were designated as Af-E6, Af-N49a, Af-N49a1, Af-N49a2, and Af-N49b, respectively.

Effects of 530 nm monochromatic light on basic fibroblast growth factor and transforming growth factor-β1 expression in Müller cells.

Aim: To expose rat retinal Müller cells to 530 nm monochromatic light and investigate the influence of varying light illumination times on basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) expression.

Methods: Three groups of rat retinal Müller cells cultured in vitro under a 530 nm monochromatic light were divided into 6, 12 and 24h experimental groups, while cells incubated under dark conditions served as the control group. Effects of single N-glycosylation site knockout on folding and defibrinogenating activities of acutobin recombinants from HEK293T.

Acutobin, the α-fibrinogenase from Deinagkistrodon acutus venom, contains four N-glycosylation sites with disialylated complex-typed glycans. Here, we explore the functional roles of each of the N-glycan by site-directed mutagenesis. The wild-type (ATB-wt) and single glycan-knockout mutants of recombinant acutobin were prepared from HEK293T, demonstrating that mutations at Asn(77), Asn(81) and Asn(100) impaired the folding while the S79A mutant and various Asn(229)-deglycosylated mutants were correctly folded.
