Actin filament-associated protein 1-antisense RNA1 (AFAP1-AS1), a cancer-related long non-coding RNA, has been found to be upregulated in multiple types of cancers. AFAP1-AS1 is important for the initiation, progression and poor prognosis of many cancers, including nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). However, the mechanism underlying the regulation of AFAP1-AS1 expression is not well-understood.
