With the widespread clinical use of ceftazidime-avibactam (CZA), reports of resistance have increased continuously, posing immense threats to public health worldwide. In this study, we explored the underlying mechanisms leading to the development of CZA resistance in an ST11-KL64 hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae CRE146 that harbored the bla gene. Twelve carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) strains were isolated from the same patient, including K.

The objective of this retrospective study was to compare the postoperative efficacy and surgical performance of robotic (RKPE) versus laparoscopic Kasai portoenterostomy (LKPE) for BA.
Methods: Between October 2018 and June 2023, 158 type III BA patients undergoing minimally invasive surgery (RKPE = 66, LKPE = 92) were included in this multicenter retrospective study.
Background: This study aimed to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of oral healthcare providers concerning the treatment of endodontic-periodontal lesions (EPLs) and investigate the relationships among the KAP dimensions using correlation analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM).
Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled dental healthcare professionals between February 2024 and June 2024, with questionnaire data collected in Hangzhou and Shaoxing, China. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire that gathered demographic information and KAP scores.
Objective: This study aims to investigate the prevalence, pathogen spectrum, clinical characteristics, and prognosis-related factors of other respiratory pathogens in COVID-19-infected patients, and to explore the application of molecular detection methods in the epidemiological investigation of multiple pathogen infections.
Methods: Respiratory samples and clinical data from 384 patients with outpatient and inpatient respiratory infections were collected and analyzed. Multiplex PCR and capillary electrophoresis were conducted to detect the distribution characteristics of 26 pathogen species, comprising 13 viruses, 13 bacteria.

Background: In-flight medical emergencies (IMEs) can have severe outcomes, including the deaths of passengers and aircraft diversions. Information is lacking regarding the incidence rate and characteristics of IMEs in most countries, especially in mainland China.
Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the incidence, patterns, and associated risk factors of IMEs in mainland China and to provide medical suggestions for the evaluation and management of IMEs.
While it is known that epilepsy often co-occurs with psychiatric disorders, few studies have examined nonpsychiatric comorbidity. We analyzed 2021 and 2022 National Health Interview Survey Sample Adult data. Compared with adults with no epilepsy, the 1.

This exploratory study aims to investigate the incidence, clinical characteristics, and acute-phase risk factors for pulmonary fibrosis in COVID-19 patients. Additionally, it evaluates pulmonary function and chest CT outcomes to provide clinical evidence for the early identification of high-risk patients and the prevention of post-COVID-19 pulmonary fibrosis.

Despite advances in treatment options, the prognosis for advanced NPC remains poor, underscoring the urgent need to explore its underlying mechanisms and develop novel therapeutic strategies. Epigenetic alterations have been shown to play a key role in NPC progression.

Methods: We conducted a prospective observational cohort study involving 585 adult patients who experienced adverse drug reactions (ADRs) between 20 November 2019, and 20 November 2023, during intravenous infusions in the emergency infusion room of a tertiary hospital. The analysis included patients' gender, age, type of drugs involved, organ-system involvement, clinical manifestations of ADRs, severity grading of ADRs, and preventability of ADRs.
Pentacyclic triterpenoids, as important representatives of natural products, have garnered widespread attention due to their diverse biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antitumor effects. Oleanolic acid (OA), betulinic acid (BA), ursolic acid (UA), triptolide, and glycyrrhetinic acid (GA) are typical examples of pentacyclic triterpenoids. Despite their significant biological activities, their poor water solubility and low bioavailability have limited further development and application.

In our previous research, we identified 7A, a derivative of Neratinib, as having pronounced antitumor activity. However, its specific effects and mechanisms in colorectal cancer have not been thoroughly investigated.

The objective was to assess the efficacy of six nutritional scores, including the Nutritional Risk Screening 2002 (NRS-2002) score, the NUTRIC (nutrition risk in the critically ill) score, the modified NUTRIC score, the prognostic nutritional index (PNI), controlling nutritional status (CONUT) score, TCB index (TCBI), predicting prognosis of COVID-19 patients.
Methods: Clinical data were collected from COVID-19 patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University between December 2022 and February 2023.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide. SETD2, the only known methyltransferase catalyzes the trimethylation of histone H3 lysine 36 (H3K36), has been reported to be associated with several cancers. However, the function of SETD2 in HCC is unclear.

However, a versatile bioanalytical platform is lacking due to serious matrix interferences, the heterogeneity and complex biotransformation of ADCs, and the recognition deficiencies of traditional affinity technologies. To overcome this, a multiepitope recognition technology (MERT) was developed by simultaneously immobilizing CDR and non-CDR ligands onto MOF@AuNPs.

The diagnosis of this infection is challenging because of its diverse and complex atypical clinical presentations. In this study, we describe a case of cutaneous infection with Kodamaea ohmeri presenting as erythematous and scaly lesions on both armpits and groin with itching in an 82-year-old man, mimicking intertrigo, and review the relevant literature.

This can often lead to delays in diagnosis. Several systemic immune-inflammation indices are currently used as predictive or supportive markers for several inflammation-associated diseases.

However, uneven distribution of SAMs on the substrate largely decreases the PSC performance, especially for large-scale devices. Herein, the first spiro-type SAM, termed 4PA-spiro, with an orthogonal spiro[acridine-9,9'-fluorene] as the skeleton and phosphonic acid as the anchoring group were proposed.
