Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture in treating Parkinson's disease-related constipation (PDC).
Materials And Methods: This was a randomized, controlled trial in which patients, outcome assessors, and statisticians were all blinded. Seventy-eight eligible patients were randomly assigned to either the manual acupuncture (MA) or sham acupuncture (SA) groups and received 12 sessions of treatment over a 4-week period.
Numerous studies have indicated that mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet distribution width (PDW) were correlated with spontaneous abortion (SAB), but the results were contradictory. Hence, we performed a meta-analysis to assess the association of MPV and PDW with SAB. We systematically searched on China National Knowledge Internet, PubMed, and Embase up to May 2022 to retrieve eligible studies.

However, CEUS examinations have not been studied for hemophilia arthritis. Hemophilia arthritis is different from other arthritis, because it is induced by spontaneous joint bleeding.

We explored the diagnostic value of color Doppler ultrasound in detecting synovitis in boys with bleeding disorders.
Results: Sixty boys with hemophilia and 3 boys with type 3 von Willebrand disease aged 5 to 18 years (median 12.
Thyroid nodules are very common all over the world, and China is no exception. Ultrasound plays an important role in determining the risk stratification of thyroid nodules, which is critical for clinical management of thyroid nodules. For the past few years, many versions of TIRADS (Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System) have been put forward by several institutions with the aim to identify whether nodules require fine-needle biopsy or ultrasound follow-up.

We review and discuss in this paper the evaluative purpose of the IPSG MRI scale in relation to its development and validation processes so far. We also critically appraise the validity, reliability and responsiveness of using the IPSG MRI scale in different clinical and research settings, and whenever applicable, compare these clinimetric properties of the IPSG MRI scale with those of its precursors, the compatible additive and progressive MRI scales.

In this study, we extensively investigated the upstream and downstream mechanisms of miR-548e in regulating OC progression and cisplatin resistance. Our results indicated that ZFAS1 was highly expressed and promoted OC cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and cisplatin resistance by directly suppressing miR-548e expression.

As an electrically controllable wetting effect, electrowetting on dielectrics (EWOD) is applied in diverse fields including optics, display technology and lab-on-a-chip systems. For the further development of EWOD applications, the reduction of the operation voltage is an essential issue. Recently, a low-voltage EWOD system with a threshold of 2 V was developed.

Shear wave elastography (SWE) is a further extension of ultrasound elastography on the basis of strain elastography, providing a two-dimensional distribution map of tissue stiffness and quantitative measurement of the tissue stiffness in Young's modulus (kPa) and/or shear wave speed (m/s). The Society of Ultrasound in Medicine, Chinese Medical Association (CMA) has recently released a series of guidelines for the use of SWE, including the technique and principle of SWE, and use of SWE in liver fibrosis, breast, thyroid, and musculoskeletal system.

An electrowetting-on-dielectric (EWOD) electrode was developed that facilitates the use of low alternating voltages (≤5 V). This allows online investigation of the frequency dependence of electrowetting by means of impedance spectroscopy. The EWOD electrode is based on a dielectric bilayer consisting of an anodic tantalum pentoxide (TaO) thin film (d = 59.

Despite having the third highest global TB burden, no TB-related GWAS has been performed in China. Here, we performed the first three-stage GWAS on TB in the Han Chinese population.

Background: Schizophrenia (SCH) and depression (DEP) are prevalent psychiatric disorders and share common and distinguished elements in their pathophysiology. A triple network model composed of the default mode network (DMN), salience network (SN) and central executive network (CEN) may represent a major abnormality across several psychiatric disorders including SCH and DEP. However, common and distinct dysfunctional patterns between SCH and DEP across three core networks remain unclear.

As a member of the IFITM family, IFITM3 can be upregulated by interferon (IFN) to be involved in various biological processes. In order to determine whether gene expression profiles can be altered by a lack of IFITM3, the present study used shRNAs lentivirus for knocking down the endogenous expression of IFITM3 in human HeLa cells and human whole genome microarrays to obtain gene expression profiles.

Recently, many studies have shown that clinical features and molecular characteristics of drug-resistant strains vary in different geographical areas, however, further information is needed to assess the dynamic evolution of drug-resistant TB. Comparative studies between different time periods are necessary to elucidate the development of drug-resistant TB.

This is usually accompanied by a fitness cost, which, however, can be mitigated by secondary mutations in the rpoA or rpoC gene. This study aimed to identify rpoA and rpoC mutations in clinical M.

Methods: Real-time grayscale contrast-enhanced sonography was performed in 310 women with 317 breast tumors. The enhancement patterns and perfusion parameters for malignant and benign tumors were analyzed by contrast-enhanced sonography with microvascular imaging and quantitative time-intensity curve analysis.
Background: Radiotherapy is an efficient remedy in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (Hca); however, some cancer cells can still survive from the radiation and the therapeutic effect is to be improved. Regulatory T cell (Tregs)-induced tumor tolerance and Akt expression play important roles in the tumor survival. This study aims to elucidate the role of radiation induces Akt expression in Tregs.

Buyang Huanwu decoction (BYHWD) is a well-known and canonical Chinese medicine formula from "Correction on Errors in Medical Classics" in Qing dynasty. Here, we show that BYHWD could alleviate the ventricular remodeling induced by left anterior descending (LAD) artery ligation in rats. BYHWD treatment (18 g/kg/day) decreased heart weight/body weight (HW/BW), left ventricle (LV) dimension at end diastole (LVDd) and increased LV ejection fraction (LVEF) and LV fractional shortening (LVFS) significantly compared to model group at the end of 12 weeks.

Two-dimensional difference gel electrophoresis (2D-DIGE) and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) analysis showed that three proteins are down-regulated and six proteins are up-regulated by SMPS. SMPS reduces the degree of liver injury by up-regulating the enzymes of the citric acid cycle, namely malate dehydrogenase (MDH) and 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex.
