Herein, the miniaturized thermal purge-and-trap (MTPT) device combined with self-calibration colorimetric/surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) dual-model optical sensors were designed for effective analysis of sulfur dioxide (SO) in wine. The SO can be rapidly separated from wine and enriched by MTPT device, ensuring colorimetric/SERS dual-model optical sensing based on Karl Fischer reaction. The high separation efficiency of miniaturized MTPT device combined with self-calibration of dual-model optical sensors significantly alleviate matrix interference and improve the detection accuracy.

Herein, ZIF-8 shell encapsulated Ag nanoparticles decorated cotton swab (CS@Ag@ZIF-8) was firstly designed and prepared for highly rapid and selective surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) analysis of glucose and lactic acid in human sweat. The CS not only act as support matrix for Ag modification and ZIF-8 encapsulation, but also provide great potential in-situ analysis of human sweat with low cost. The as-developed CS@Ag@ZIF-8 shows high SERS activity owing the good adsorption of ZIF-8 shell and electromagnetic enhancement of AgNPs.

The improvement of detection accuracy without loss of rapidity and sensitivity by optical sensors in complex food analysis is still full of challenges owing to the matrix interference. Herein, a novel and simple self-calibration colorimetric/fluorescence/surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) tri-modal optical sensor based on aminated Rhodamine 6G (R6G-NH) was developed for highly rapid, sensitive, and accurate detection of Hg in food samples. One of the most promising approaches to effectively modulate the performance of immunochromatography (ICA) is the rational design of nanomaterials. To systematically characterize the loss of tissue integrity and organ dysfunction resulting from aging, we produced an in-depth spatial transcriptomic profile of nine tissues in male mice during aging. We showed that senescence-sensitive spots (SSSs) colocalized with elevated entropy in organizational structure and that the aggregation of immunoglobulin-expressing cells is a characteristic feature of the microenvironment surrounding SSSs. Immunoglobulin G (IgG) accumulated across the aged tissues in both male and female mice, and a similar phenomenon was observed in human tissues, suggesting the potential of the abnormal elevation of immunoglobulins as an evolutionarily conserved feature in aging.

The continual emergence of highly pathogenic novel coronaviruses and their variants has underscored the importance of neutralizing monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) as a pivotal therapeutic approach. In the present study, we report the specific neutralizing antibodies 13H7 and 9G11, which target the N-terminal domain (NTD) and receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2, respectively. The comparative analysis observed that 13H7 not only neutralizes early variants of concern (VOCs) but also exhibits neutralizing activity against the Omicron sublineage, including BA.

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a distinct form of diabetes that poses a significant threat to the health of both pregnant women and fetuses. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of behenic acid (BA) on glucose metabolism, inflammation, and insulin resistance in GDM mice, and to elucidate the underlying molecular mechanism. Here, we demonstrated that daily administration of 10 mg/mL BA during pregnancy effectively ameliorated abnormal glucose metabolism in GDM mice and their offspring and improved birth outcomes in the offspring.
