Long non-coding RNA FENDRR restrains the aggressiveness of CRC via regulating miR-18a-5p/ING4 axis.

There is increasing evidence has indicated that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are implicated in the tumorigenesis and development of colorectal cancer (CRC). Nevertheless, the clinical significances and functions of FENDRR in CRC remain unknown. In this study, we reveal that lncRNA FENDRR is downregulated in CRC and negatively correlated with advanced stage and poor clinical outcomes of patient with CRC.

Diagnosis and surgical management of abdominal cocoon: results from 12 cases.

Unlabelled: This study was designed to describe the characteristics, diagnostic and therapeutic methods of abdominal cocoon. Twelve patients with abdominal cocoon were surgically treated. The clinical findings from these patients were analyzed.

Objective: To study the protective effects of curcumin on exaggerated extracellular matrix accumulation of pulmonary fibrosis rats.

Method: One hundred and forty-four male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 6 groups (24 rats in each group). Rats in the model control group, positive medicine group, and high, moderate and low curcumin groups were injected with a single dose of bleomycin by trachea, and rats in sham-model control group with same volume normal saline.
