This study was performed to describe the clinical features, risk factors, and treatment methods of uterine torsion in pregnancy. The most common symptoms are abdominal pain, fetal heart rate changes, and failure of cervical dilatation and are often accompanied by complete or partial placental abruption. Preoperative diagnosis is challenging even with the use of ultrasound.

Increasing studies demonstrated that genetic susceptibility attributes to the development of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). The polymorphisms of the β-3 adrenergic receptor(β-3AR) gene have been found to be of great importance in bodyweight elevation and dyslipidaemias. We aimed to determine the influence of β-3AR polymorphisms on the GDM risk.

Objective: To investigate the mechanism of Toll-like receptor in intestinal mucosal injury induced by infection in mice.

Methods: Totally 30 male BALB/c mice were randomly divided into a normal control group, 1week infection group and 2-week infection group. The mice of the 1-week and 2-week infection groups were sacrificed 7 days and 14 days after the infection respectively, and the mice of the normal control group were sacrificed 14 days after the infection.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the expression of B7-H1 and B7-H4 in ovarian neoplasm tissues and to examine their clinical relevance. A total of 112 ovarian biopsies were collected from patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) and 10 were taken from ovarian benign neoplasms. The samples were processed in paraffin tissue chips, and subjected to immunohistochemical staining and analysis.

Synopsis of recent research by authors named "Yin Feng-Ling"

  • - Yin Feng-Ling's research focuses on maternal health, particularly conditions arising during pregnancy, such as uterine torsion and gestational diabetes mellitus, highlighting the clinical challenges and genetic factors involved.
  • - Significant findings include the identification of specific symptoms, risk factors, and diagnostic challenges associated with uterine torsion in pregnancy, as well as the association of β-3 adrenergic receptor gene polymorphisms with gestational diabetes in a Chinese population.
  • - Additionally, investigations into the role of Toll-like receptors in intestinal mucosal injury due to infections and the clinical relevance of immune checkpoint proteins B7-H1 and B7-H4 in ovarian cancer demonstrate a broad interest in both infectious and oncological aspects of women's health.
