Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has garnered significant attention from researchers due to its high recurrence rate and invasive characteristics. The design of drugs with dual-target combined effects represents a promising strategy in cancer treatment. Our observations suggest that ADAM17 and HDAC may inhibit the unfavorable prognostic signaling pathway Notch1 in HCC through distinct mechanisms, thereby suppressing tumor cell proliferation and metastasis.

However, the efficacy of TAVR in younger patients with aortic regurgitation (AR) remains unclear. This study explored the therapeutic efficacy and safety of TAVR in these two groups and compared their outcomes.

K-Clip™, a novel transcatheter tricuspid annuloplasty device, is a clip-based annular plication approach for FTR. To date, no studies have investigated the short-term outcomes of K-Clip™ for patients with severe FTR associated with AF.

Sarcopenia was defined as the progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength associated with aging. The aim of this study was to explore the prevalence of POD and sarcopenia in geriatric patients undergoing hip fracture surgeries and to investigate the correlation between preoperative sarcopenia and POD.

However, it remains controversial over the security of this drug. In this study, aducanumab-related adverse events (AEs) were evaluated through data mining based on the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database.

Due to its role in pain and itch, TRPA1 is a potential drug target. We identified an oxindole core structure via high-throughput screening, modified it, and tested the modified compounds in vitro and in vivo.

Methods: Two hundred and twenty-seven foetuses with gallbladder (GB) size anomalies who underwent prenatal diagnosis between January 2015 and June 2024 were included in the study. All these patients underwent chromosomal microarray and/or karyotyping, and 37 cases also underwent whole exome sequencing (WES).
Background: Some patients with psoriasis experience relapses shortly after discontinuation of biologics. However, there is a lack of risk prediction tools to identify those at high risk of relapse.
Objective: To develop and validate a risk prediction model for psoriasis relapse after biologics discontinuation.
Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO)-based electrolytes are widely used for building solid-state lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries but suffer from poor lithium-ion (Li) transportation kinetics. Here, a lithium-sulfonated covalent organic framework (TpPa-SOLi) was synthesized and functionalized as a Li pump in a PEO-based solid-state electrolyte to fabricate robust Li-S batteries. The designed TpPa-SO Li with its porous skeleton and abundant lithium sulfonate groups not only provided iontransport channels but also enhanced the fast migration of Li.

This study aimed to develop a force analysis model correlating fluoroscopic images of self-expandable valves with stress distribution. For this purpose, a nonmetallic measuring device designed to apply diverse forces at specific positions on a valve stent while simultaneously measuring force magnitude was manufactured, obtaining 465 sets of fluorescent films under different force conditions, resulting in 5580 images and their corresponding force tables. Using the XrayGLM, a mechanical analysis model based on valve fluorescence images was trained.

However, treating posterolateral tibial plateau fractures (PLF) poses significant challenges due to the complex anatomy. Therefore, this review aims to explore contemporary concepts of PLF, from identification to fixation, and proposes a comprehensive treatment strategy.

Copy number variations (CNVs) represent a significant genetic mechanism underlying such disorders. Despite their importance, the effectiveness of clinical exome sequencing (CES) in detecting CNVs, particularly small ones, remains incompletely understood.

Inspired by the propensity of melanoma metastasis to the brain, B16F10 cell membranes are camouflaged on 2-methoxyestradiol (2ME2)-loaded reactive oxygen species (ROS)-triggered "Padlock" nanoparticles that are constructed by phenylboronic acid pinacol esters conjugated D-a-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol succinate (TPGS-PBAP). The biomimetic nanoparticles (BM@TP/2ME2) can be internalized, mainly mediated by the mutual recognition and interaction between CD44v6 expressed on B16F10 cell membranes and hyaluronic acid on cerebral vascular endothelial cells, and they responsively release 2ME2 by the oxidative stress microenvironment.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted using the clinical data of 66 patients with AIS who underwent endovascular mechanical thrombectomy and had their thrombus samples collected. The concentrations of vWF and NETs in the thrombus samples were quantitatively assessed.

Capmatinib is a potent selective mesenchymal-epithelial transition inhibitor approved in 2020 for the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. As real-world evidence is very limited, this study evaluated capmatinib-induced adverse events through data mining of the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System database. Four disproportionality analysis methods were employed to quantify the signals of capmatinib-related adverse events.

Despite decades of research, patients with these conditions still lack minimally invasive, low-cost, and effective diagnostic and treatment methods. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play a vital role in AD and PSCI pathology.
