Two diphosphanes with variable-length ligands tested as nucleophiles to prepare isoporphyrin copolymers in the presence of ditolylporphyrin of zinc (ZnTP) prevented the oxidation of the diphosphine ligand. This paper demonstrates the power of this approach and describes the photoelectrocatalytic properties. The obtained copolymers were characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, atomic force micrograph (AFM), EQCM (Electrochemical Quartz Cristal Microbalance) and electrochemistry.

To investigate the molecular mechanism of the defense response of "Cabernet Sauvignon" grapes to feeding by , high-throughput sequencing technology was used to analyze the transcriptome of grape leaves under three different treatments: feeding by , puncture injury, and an untreated control. The research findings indicated that the differentially expressed genes were primarily enriched in three aspects: cellular composition, molecular function, and biological process. These genes were found to be involved in 42 metabolic pathways, particularly in plant hormone signaling metabolism, plant-pathogen interaction, MAPK signaling pathway, and other metabolic pathways associated with plant-induced insect resistance.

Previous electrochemically powered yarn muscles cannot be usefully operated between extreme negative and extreme positive potentials, since generated stresses during anion injection and cation injection partially cancel because they are in the same direction. We here report an ionomer-infiltrated hybrid carbon nanotube (CNT) yarn muscle that shows unipolar stress behavior in the sense that stress generation between extreme potentials is additive, resulting in an enhanced stress generation. Moreover, the stress generated by this muscle unexpectedly increases with the potential scan rate, which contradicts the fact that scan-rate-induced stress decreases for neat CNT muscles.

Background: The 11th revision of the World Health Organization's International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) includes a new disorder, complex posttraumatic stress disorder (CPTSD), the diagnostic applicability of which has not been discussed sufficiently in Chinese culture. The network approach to psychopathology enables investigation of the structure of disorders at the symptom level, which allows for analysis of direct symptom interactions. The main objectives of the present study were to explore CPTSD symptom structure and identify key symptoms in CPTSD among young adults in China.

Happiness is the ultimate life goal for most people, and the pursuit of happiness serves as the fundamental motivation driving human behavior. Orientation to Happiness (OTH) represents the aspect that individuals seek when making decisions or engaging in activities, including values, priorities, motivations, ideals, and goals. Nevertheless, existing research has predominantly approached OTH from an individualistic perspective, emphasizing an individual's internal emotional state and personal goals, thereby neglecting the significant influence of a collectivist cultural background on the pursuit of happiness.

The deep ocean, Earth's untouched expanse, presents immense challenges for exploration due to its extreme pressure, temperature, and darkness. Unlike traditional marine robots that require specialized metallic vessels for protection, deep-sea species thrive without such cumbersome pressure-resistant designs. Their pressure-adaptive forms, unique propulsion methods, and advanced senses have inspired innovation in designing lightweight, compact soft machines.

Due to different understandings of happiness, people adopt different tendencies to act, which is called orientation to happiness (OTH). Our previous study found that OTH had two core themes, Self-focused and Other-focused in Chinese culture, which was different from OTH structures in Western culture. However, no corresponding measurement tool has been developed or revised.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are important regulating factors that play a dual role in plant and human cells. As the first messenger response in organisms, ROS coordinate signals in growth, development, and metabolic activity pathways. They also can act as an alarm mechanism, triggering cellular responses to harmful stimuli.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the differences in positive adaptation between complex posttraumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), focusing on their impacts on well-being.
  • A sample of 1,451 Chinese young adults with childhood adversity was analyzed, revealing that individuals with CPTSD experience lower hedonic and eudaimonic well-being compared to those with PTSD.
  • The findings suggest that CPTSD symptoms, particularly disturbances in self-organization (DSO), negatively affect well-being, while PTSD symptoms may promote posttraumatic growth, emphasizing the need to view CPTSD as a distinct diagnosis and prioritize well-being interventions for those affected.
