In contrast to Europe and the USA, the treatment eligibility profile of cystic fibrosis (CF) patients in Türkiye is not known. In this study we aimed to determine the eligibility of CF patients in Türkiye for the CFTRms.

During the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, this process received significant attention due to the central role of neutrophil recruitment and activation in infection control. However, elevated neutrophil levels and dysregulated NET formation have been linked to coagulopathy and endothelial damage, correlating with disease severity and poor prognosis in COVID-19.

Previous studies have demonstrated all three beetle species are strongly attracted to ethanol and verbenone interrupts their attraction to ethanol. We tested a 'push-pull' management strategy in eastern United States apple orchards in three states New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio using verbenone sachets to 'push' beetles away from apple trees and high release ethanol lures to 'pull' them into clear sticky traps.

They have also been implicated in the pathogenesis of numerous neurological disorders. However, the behavior of pericytes in the adult brain after injury remains poorly understood, partly due to limitations in existing pericyte ablation models.

Microvascular decompression (MVD) is regarded as the established method of treatment of the condition. We aimed to detect the underlying pathology in recurrent TN cases, to prevent the recurrence rate of the patients and to determine the difficulties encountered during surgery.

Galectin-3(Gal-3) is a B-galactoside binding lectin plays a central role in inflammation and fibrosis. In our study, we aimed to define levels of serum galectin-3 protein in IPF patients by comparing them with healthy subjects.

Methods: Sixty patients newly diagnosed with RLS and 60 healthy individuals in the control group were included in the study. The patients completed the RLS-Severity Rating Scale and were started on pramipexole for treatment.
Objective: Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) stimulation testing is the gold standard for distinguishing central precocious puberty (CPP) from premature thelarche (PT). Due to the limitations of this test, previous studies have elucidated the clinical and laboratory factors that predict CPP. This study explored the diagnostic importance of pelvic ultrasound in girls with CPP.

Purpose: This study investigates the potential of the ChatGPT-4.0 artificial intelligence bot to assist speech-language pathologists (SLPs) by assessing its accuracy, comprehensiveness, and relevance in various tasks related to speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Method: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, 15 practicing SLPs evaluated ChatGPT-4.
Diabetic cardiomyopathy is a distinct myocardial dysfunction characterized by structural and functional changes in the heart that occur in diabetic patients independently of coronary artery disease or hypertension. It is closely associated with oxidative stress, inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, and contributes to progressive cardiac damage. This study aimed to evaluate the cardioprotective effects of dapagliflozin (DAPA) and trimetazidine (TMZ) in a rat model of doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy with streptozotocin-induced diabetes, focusing on their potential mechanisms related to ER stress.

Current treatments often rely on topical agents, but alternatives to synthetic formulations are increasingly sought due to safety and efficacy concerns. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic effects of a cream containing Camellia sinensis (white tea) extract on third-degree burn-induced skin lesions in a rat model.

Moreover, a high prevalence of scapular dyskinesis has been observed in the majority of shoulder pain patients. However, these alterations seen in individuals with shoulder pain have not been thoroughly examined after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (RCr).

Background: The aim of this study is to characterize the sociodemographic, epidemiological, and clinical characteristics of ocular injuries in a secondary-level public hospital in Türkiye, identify the risk factors in the region, raise awareness on this issue, and propose solutions for injury prevention.
Methods: This hospital-based retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted using data from patients who were followed up and treated for ocular trauma between January 2021 and January 2023 in a secondary-level public hospital located in the Middle Black Sea region of Türkiye. All patients, regardless of age, diagnosed with eyeball, eyelid, and orbital trauma were included.
This study aimed to compare Generations X, Y, and Z in terms of anxiety and readiness levels regarding artificial intelligence and investigate the relationship between anxiety and readiness levels regarding artificial intelligence in midwives across generations. This study is cross-sectional and comparative with a study sample of 218 midwives working in a province in the east of Turkey. Data were collected with the "Personal Information Form," "Artificial Intelligence Anxiety Scale," and "Medical Artificial Intelligence Readiness Scale.

Objectives And Background: Accurate diagnosis of transthyretin amyloidosis cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) and its differentiation from light-chain (AL) cardiac amyloidosis (CA) cases (AL-CM) is of paramount importance, since treatment strategies are totally different and obviously more successful in case of early disease detection. Surprisingly, comparative imaging data based on concurrent cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) and bone scintigraphy in the same patients with biopsy-proven diagnosis of CA are still rare.
Methods: This was a real-world retrospective single-centre study based on a local clinical care pipeline and we carefully analysed clinical, laboratory, CMR, bone scintigraphy data (and if necessary additional endomyocardial biopsy (EMB) data) in patients with suspected CA.
Intrusion detection plays a significant role in the provision of information security. The most critical element is the ability to precisely identify different types of intrusions into the network. However, the detection of intrusions poses a important challenge, as many new types of intrusion are now generated by cyber-attackers every day.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the causes of mortality and morbidity, the organs affected by the injury, and the prognosis of the patients who are referred to the emergency department as a result of traffic accidents and underwent abdominal imaging.
Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD) is a severe hepatorenal fibrocystic disorder. Its rareness and the variability of disease courses have been major obstacles for the establishment of clinical trials on treatment of kidney disease in ARPKD. In this observational study we characterized kidney disease progression in a very large cohort of up to 658 patients with the clinical diagnosis of ARPKD and identified risk factors associated with rapid kidney disease progression.

However, their prevalence across all NS subtypes, particularly in steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome (SRNS), and their relation to therapy response remain need to be determined to advance pathophysiological understanding and refine treatment strategies.
Methodology: A multicenter cohort study measuring anti-nephrin autoantibodies in samples from children with SSNS, SDNS, non-genetic and genetic SRNS was conducted.
This multicenter retrospective study evaluated the efficacy of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) on survival and safety in patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). A total of 110 patients with R/R HL or NHL who underwent allo-HSCT between July 2007 and October 2022 at 7 adult stem cell transplant centers were evaluated. Progression-free survival (PFS), graft versus host disease-free survival (GRFS), and overall survival (OS) were the primary endpoints, and NRM was the secondary endpoint.
