Aim: This study aims to investigate the clinical value of the Duke Anesthesia Resistance Scale (DARS) in predicting postoperative delirium (POD) after hip fracture surgery.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted. Clinical data were collected from the patients who had hip fracture and underwent elective total hip arthroplasty in Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, Third Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University between January 2022 and June 2023.

Background: Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is a clinically frequent postoperative complication in the elderly, which is mainly manifested by the occurrence of cognitive dysfunction after anesthetized surgery in patients. To explore the involvement of C/EBPα in microglial polarization in sevoflurane anesthesia induced cognitive impairment in aged rats.

Methods: Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were anesthetized by inhalation of 3% sevoflurane for 6 h to establish the POCD model.

Synthesis of Carbon Dots with Multiple Color Emission by Controlled Graphitization and Surface Functionalization.

Multiple-color-emissive carbon dots (CDots) have potential applications in various fields such as bioimaging, light-emitting devices, and photocatalysis. The majority of the current CDots to date exhibit excitation-wavelength-dependent emissions with their maximum emission limited at the blue-light region. Here, a synthesis of multiple-color-emission CDots by controlled graphitization and surface function is reported.
