StyleGAN-: Extending StyleGAN to Arbitrary-Ratio Translation with StyleBook.

Although pre-trained large-scale generative models StyleGAN series have proven to be effective in various editing and translation tasks, they are limited to pre-defined fixed aspect ratio. To overcome this limitation, we propose StyleGAN-, a model that enables pre-trained StyleGAN to perform arbitrary-ratio conditional synthesis. Our key insight is to distill the expressive StyleGAN features into a StyleBook, such that an arbitrary-ratio condition can be translated to other forms by properly assembling pre-defined StyleBook vectors.

Convergent Synthesis of Kibdelone C.

The synthesis of kibdelone C, a polycyclic natural xanthone isolated from a soil actinomycete, was achieved through a convergent approach. A 6π-electrocyclization was applied to construct the highly substituted dihydrophenanthrenol fragment (B-C-D ring). InBr-promoted lactonization was employed to build the isocoumarin ring, which served as a common precursor for the formation of isoquinolinone ring (A-B ring).

Activity determination of (41)Ar using efficiency extrapolation method and 4πβ(PS)-4πγ(NaI) coincidence system.

Noble gas (41)Ar was measured with a 4πβ-4πγ coincidence system, in which gamma- and beta-rays were respectively detected with a well-type NaI(Tl) and plastic scintillator (PS) detector. The activity of (41)Ar was determined from an efficiency extrapolation method, in which the beta detector efficiency was varied by electronic discrimination using the software developed under Visual basic. In addition, high resolution gamma spectroscopy with HPGe detector was also used for activity determination of (41)Ar, and the result was satisfactory in agreement with that obtain by the efficiency extrapolation method.
