Despite increased attempts to express equality in speech, biases often leak out through subtle linguistic cues. For example, the subject-complement statement (SCS, "Girls are as good as boys at math") is used to advocate for equality but often reinforces gender stereotypes (boys are the standard against which girls are judged). We ask whether stereotypes conveyed by SCS can be counteracted by gesture.

In order to better understand the mechanisms of acute cholestasis caused by these chemicals, the metabolic characteristics of each model were summarized using lipidomics and metabolomics techniques. C-C motif chemokine ligand 5 (CCL5) has been shown to be responsible for the recruitment of monocytes/macrophages and has been implicated in various liver diseases, including nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, fibrosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
