N-methyladenosine (mA) is the most prevalent internal modification on messenger RNA. Although recent studies have shown mA effects on determining the fate of mRNA through modulating various aspects of plant mRNA metabolism, whether and how mA affects gene transcription in plants remains elusive. Here we show that NEEDED FOR RDR2-INDEPENDENT DNA METHYLATION (NERD), a plant-specific protein, is an essential component of the mA methyltransferase complex required for regulating the transcription of a central floral repressor FLOWERING LOCUS C (FLC) in Arabidopsis.

This study investigated the molecular pathways by which olanzapine exerts its therapeutic effects and causes metabolic side effects by analyzing changes in the serum metabolic and lipid profiles of patients with first-episode schizophrenia.
Methods: Clinical symptoms were assessed using the Positive and Negative Symptom Scale (PANSS) in 43 patients with first-episode schizophrenia.
Introduction: Caring for a family member with mental disorders is burdensome, which may not only damage the caregivers' well-being and health, but also hinder patients' recovery. It is critical to investigate the underlying mechanisms for caregiver burden.
Aim: To examine the mediating effect of illness perception and the moderating function of social support on the association between care tasks and caregiver burden.
Background: Numerous studies have indicated that a diet rich in antioxidants can prevent Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). However, the relationship between combined dietary antioxidant intake and the risk of COPD remains unclear. The Comprehensive Dietary Antioxidant Index (CDAI) is a composite score of various dietary antioxidants, including vitamins A, C, E, zinc, selenium, and carotenoids.

However, the mechanisms underlying cold resistance in rapeseed remain unclear. This study aimed to explore cold resistance genes and provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of cold resistance in rapeseed.

This study aims to assess the relationship between the two.
Methods: Participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 2007 to 2012 were selected.
Background: Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are common and associated with mental disorders. However, the prevalence and co-occurrence of ACEs and their association with mental health outcomes among Chinese adults have not been well demonstrated.
Methods: China Mental Health Survey, a cross-sectional nationally representative survey consisting of 28,140 adults, was conducted from July 2013 to March 2015.
The full complement of ion channels which influence insect auditory mechanotransduction and the mechanisms by which their influence is exerted remain unclear. (K4), a family member encoding voltage-gated potassium channels in , has been shown to localize to dendrites in some neuron types, suggesting the potential role of in hearing, including mechanotransduction. A GFP trap was used to visualize the localization of the channel in Johnston's organ neurons responsible for hearing in the antenna.

Background: Previous studies have shown a significantly increased prevalence of osteoporosis (OP) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), which is closely associated with inflammation and nutrition. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the advanced lung cancer inflammation index (ALI) and OP in patients with T2DM.
Methods: This cross-sectional analysis was conducted based on data from middle-aged and older adults aged 50 years and older with T2DM from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).
The microspheres were widely utilized in the field of life sciences, and we have developed an innovative microelectromechanical system (MEMS)-based bioprinting technology (MBT) system for the preparation of the microspheres. The microspheres can be automatically and high-throughput produced with this cutting-edge system. This paper mainly introduced a novel, efficient, and cost-effective approach for the microsphere fabrication with the MBT system.

However, there is a scarcity of research investigating caregiving burden among informal caregivers of PwMI in China at the national level. To fill this gap, this study examined the prevalence of caregiving burden, depression, and anxiety, as well as their associated factors, among a cross-sectional sample of informal caregivers of PwMI in China.

However, the different impacts of in-sewer iron salt dosing on AD, depending on the types of iron and digestion conditions, remain unclear. Therefore, this study investigated the impact of in-sewer ferrous (Fe(II)) and ferrate (Fe(VI)) dosing on bioenergy recovery in both conventional AD and AD with thermal hydrolysis pretreatment (THP).

It also explored the role of metabolic pathways in the pathogenesis of this condition.
Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 300 patients diagnosed with chronic gastritis.
Background: Postpartum depression (PPD) is widely recognized as the most prevalent mental health crisis following childbirth and has been linked to sleep disturbances. However, the potential causal relationships between various sleep traits and PPD remain unclear. This study employs a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach to investigate these associations.

With the development of global industry, carbon dioxide emissions surged. The conversion of carbon dioxide from the air results in some CO, which can exacerbate environmental disasters like ocean acidification. Therefore, the content of CO in seawater is an important indicator of the degree of ocean acidification.

Materials And Methods: In this study, we aimed to investigate "novel proteins" underlying IBD in the brain using a comprehensive multi-omics analysis approach. We performed integrated analyses of proteomics and transcriptomics in the human prefrontal cortex (PFC) tissue, coupled with genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of IBD, crohn's disease (CD), and ulcerative colitis (UC).
Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) as emerging pollutants was largely produced and stable in nature environment. Its fate and effect to the wasted sludge digestion process and corresponding microbial mechanism was rarely reported. This study investigated the different dose of PFOA to the wasted sludge digestion process, where the methane yield and microbial mechanism was illustrated.

While frailty and sleep problems often coexist, the relationship between them remains unclear. Hence, this study aims to utilize the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database from 2005 to 2008 to analyze and explore the relationship between the level of frailty index (FI) and the risk of OSA incidence and survival outcomes.
