Exploring the trade-off and synergy between ecosystem services and their intrinsic impact mechanisms is crucial for improving the overall efficiency of ecosystems and ensuring the sustainable supply of ecosystem services. This study takes the 499 counties in the Yellow River Basin as the research object, uses the Pearson correlation coefficient method to measure the trade-off and synergy among counties, and constructs a geographically weighted logistic regression(GWLR) model to examine the spatiotemporal heterogeneity between balancing synergy and various influencing factors. The results showed that: ① From 2001 to 2021, the ecosystem service value of the Yellow River Basin first increased, then decreased, and finally increased, showing a spatial distribution pattern of "lower in the downstream, higher in the upper and middle reaches.

Our previous studies showed that the mechanisms of ACR-caused neurotoxicity included apoptosis, PERK-mediated endoplasmic reticulum stress, and autophagy, but the relationships among them were still unclear. This paper investigated the relationships among apoptosis, autophagy, and the PERK pathway to demonstrate the mechanism of ACR neurotoxicity further.

Background: Hip fractures in the elderly are a major global public health concern, with incidence projected to rise as populations age. Rehabilitation is critical to recovery after hip fracture surgery, but the ideal timing for initiation remains uncertain. While early rehabilitation, within 48 h post-surgery, is associated with better outcomes, its specific impact on hospital stay duration and postoperative complications is not yet conclusively established.

Bisphenol F (BPF) has become a new risk factor for male semen quality, but its specific mechanism is still unclear. Therefore, this study explored the potential mechanism of BPF affecting male semen quality from the perspective of ferroptosis and m6A RNA methylation. In vivo experiments showed that BPF destroyed the structure of seminiferous tubules, reduced the layers of spermatogenic cells, and reduced semen quality in mice.

To address the shortcomings of light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensors in extracting road surface elevation information in front of a vehicle, a scheme for digital terrain construction based on the fusion of an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and LiDAR perception is proposed. First, two sets of sensor coordinate systems were configured, and the parameters of LiDAR and IMU were calibrated. Then, a terrain construction system based on the fusion perception of IMU and LiDAR was established, and improvements were made to the state estimation and mapping architecture.

Ischemic stroke constitutes a multifaceted neurological affliction that spans various cellular types. Lack of dynamic chromatin accessibility data after stroke is one of the obstacles to understanding this process. To gain insights into the variations in transcriptional regulation among various cell types subsequent to a stroke, we employed single-nucleus ATAC-seq to curate a chromatin accessibility compendium from the cerebral cortex of mice subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion (MCAO/R).

Clarifying the spatial correlation network structure from tourism transportation carbon emissions and its influencing factors is crucial for China's tourism and transportation industry to coordinate the planning of carbon reduction governance and realize the sustainable development of the tourism transportation industry. Based on inter-provincial panel data from 2001 to 2021, China's carbon emissions from tourism transportation were measured, and the modified spatial gravity model was used to construct characteristics of provincial spatial networks and their influencing factors, which were analyzed using the social network analysis method and the QAP model. The study showed that ① China's total carbon emissions from tourism and transportation have been growing slowly year by year, showing a distribution pattern of "high in the southeast and low in the northwest," with obvious differences between the eastern and western regions.

NEK2 (NIMA-related kinase 2) has recently gained attention for its potential role in osteoarthritis (OA) chondrocytes, however, its specific involvement remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the role of NEK2 in OA progression and the underlying molecular mechanisms. Primary mouse knee chondrocytes were stimulated with IL-1β to establish an in vitro OA model, followed by the knockdown of NEK2 or ATF2.

Faced with increasingly severe climate and energy crises, promoting renewable energy development has become an inevitable choice for realizing carbon reduction strategy and energy structure transformation. This paper selects the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2001 to 2021 and constructs a dynamic spatial Durbin model to study the effect of renewable energy development on carbon emission intensity. The study shows a significant positive spatial correlation between renewable energy development and carbon emission intensity in Chinese provinces.

Gaps between buildings facing the streets can effectively accelerate the natural removal of pollutants in street canyons by enhancing ventilation and diffusion processes. This removal process is closely related to gap permeability (P, ratio of gap width to street length) and building density (λ) surrounding the streets. However, the integrated effects of these two parameters on pollutant dispersion remain unclear, because of the limited computational resources and the difficulty of traditional modeling methods to discrete the numerous buildings.

Objective: To evaluate gadoxetic acid-enhanced (Gd-EOB-DTPA) MRI features of newly detected benign focal hepatic observations after chemotherapy.

Methods: In this retrospective single-center case-control study, we enrolled a cohort of 43 cancer patients with 93 newly detected benign focal hepatic observations after chemotherapy between January 2010 and December 2020. We evaluated several parameters including the delay of occurrence after chemotherapy, imaging features, and imaging follow-up.

This study investigates the role of S100A9 in sepsis-associated AKI (SA-AKI) through the lens of pyroptosis, a controlled form of cell death mediated by the gasdermin protein family. Using C57BL/6 mice and S100A9 knockout mice subjected to cecal ligation and puncture (CLP), RNA sequencing and bioinformatics analyses revealed differentially expressed genes (DEGs) related to inflammation and immune responses, with notable upregulation of S100A9. Functional enrichment analyses (GO and KEGG) indicated these DEGs are involved in interferon-beta response, immune processes, and cell adhesion.

Paeonol, a phenolic acid compound extracted from the Cortex Moutan, exhibits significant anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-apoptotic properties. This study aimed to investigate the effects of paeonol on neuroinflammation and depressive-like symptoms, and the underlying mechanisms in a mouse model of sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE) induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). To assess the therapeutic potential of paeonol in mice treated with LPS, behavioral assessments were conducted using the open-field test (OFT), tail suspension test (TST), and forced swimming test (FST), and quantitative PCR (qPCR), Western blot, and immunofluorescent staining were utilized to determine the expression levels of inflammatory molecules in the hippocampus in vivo and microglial cells in vitro.

Exploring the spatiotemporal differentiation of the carbon budget and clarifying the zoning of carbon compensation based on the perspective of the main function-oriented zones is of great significance for promoting regional low-carbon development and achieving the "dual carbon" goal. This study was conducted using 550 counties in the Yellow River Basin as the basic unit, and based on the concentration index to examine the spatial distribution characteristics of carbon emissions and carbon absorptions in the main function-oriented zones of the Yellow River Basin, a four-dimensional benchmark framework for carbon compensation zoning was constructed by total scale, economic contribution, ecological carrying capacity, and land development intensity. The SOM-K-means algorithm was used to establish a differentiated carbon compensation zoning scheme.
