Objective: It remains debated whether reduced doses of chronic calcineurin inhibitors benefit graft survival.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 60 first cadaveric renal transplant recipients who received cyclosporine (CSA), mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) and prednisone (CMP group) and 71 recipients who received reduced-dose CSA with prednisone and MMF (RCMP group). All recipients were followed for at least 96 months.
Genomic instability or microsatellite instability (MSI) was initially recognized in colonic carcinoma and subsequently in other tumors. MSI has been associated with mutations in genes that play a role in DNA replication and repair. In a previous study we detected MSI in 85% of young patients with OSCC and excluded the involvement of MMR genes hMLH1 and hMSH2.

Using ab initio potential and dipole moment surfaces and a fully coupled quantum treatment of the intramolecular modes, the ring and book are assigned to spectra obtained in the He nanodroplet and Ar tagging experiments, respectively. The overtone of the intramolecular bend at ca.

The bond dissociation energy (D0) for the (H2O)3 → H2O + (H2O)2 dissociation channel is determined from fitting the speed distributions of selected rovibrational states of the water monomer fragment using velocity map imaging. The experimental value, D0 = 2650 ± 150 cm(-1), is in good agreement with the previously determined theoretical value, 2726 ± 30 cm(-1), obtained using an ab initio full-dimensional potential energy surface (PES) together with Diffusion Monte Carlo calculations [ Wang ; Bowman .

This study was aimed at investigating the effects of silencing SATB1 on mesenchymal derived human osteosarcoma U2OS cells and the underlying mechanisms. The expressions of SATB1 and the related genes in the cells were detected by qRT-PCR and/or Western Blotting.

Computed tomography (CT) scans of a total of 120 normal adult Chinese cadaveric femurs were collected for analysis. With the three-dimensional (3D) computational technology, the anatomical fitness between the nail and bone was quantified according to the impingement incidence, maximum thicknesses and lengths by which the nail was protruding into the cortex in the virtual bone model, respectively, at the proximal, middle, and distal portions of the implant in the femur.

Objective: To investigate the clinical manifestations, pathological features, diagnosis and treatment of stromal tumor in the seminal vesicle.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 1 case of stromal tumor of the seminal vesicle, reviewed relevant domestic and international literature, and summarized the clinical manifestations, pathological features, diagnosis and treatment of the tumor.
Results: The patient was a 50 years old male, who underwent excision of the tumor together with the seminal vesicle.
We report the IR spectra of two forms of ice in the monomer bend and OH-stretching regions, using recently developed ab initio potential and dipole moment surfaces for arbitrarily many water monomers. Coupling and anharmonicity of the intramolecular vibrational modes are taken into account using coupled three-mode variational calculations, within the local-monomer model. Spectra for the surface and core regions of these ice models are presented.

Health management has been implemented to reduce the costs of care, raise health service utilization, increase health knowledge and improve quality of life. Several studies have tried to verify the effectiveness of health management in achieving these goals worldwide.

Building on previous work with coupled cluster quartic force fields (QFFs) in the computation of the fundamental vibrational frequencies for both cis- and trans-HOCO, coupled cluster dipole surfaces are now provided for both HOCO conformers and their corresponding deuterated isotopologues. These surfaces and subsequent vibrational configuration interaction (VCI) computations produce the intensities of transitions into vibrational states including the fundamentals, overtones, and first few combination bands of less than 4000 cm(-1), slightly beyond the O-H stretch.

We use the new potential in three types of variational calculations of the vibrational eigenstates, for zero total angular momentum. Two use the code MULTIMODE (MM) in the so-called single-reference and reaction path versions.

As such, its potential energy surface and spectroscopy are highly complex, with extreme anharmonicity and vibrational state mixing; this system provides an important benchmark for modern theoretical methods. Unfortunately, previous measurements covered only the higher-frequency region of the infrared spectrum.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the health status and associated factors of the elderly Chinese population. A cross-sectional survey was administered to 849 elderly people aged 60 years and over living in a certain district of Nanjing, China. A health rating scale based on the characteristics of the elderly in China was used.

Objectives: To understand Asian noses, set goals for rhinoplasty, and find the best alternative columellar strut.
Methods: Six values were used to evaluate the morphology of the nose: tip projection, alar-tip-columellar base angle, alar-columellar base-philtrum angle, nasolabial angle, nasofacial angle, and tip angle. One hundred average Chinese people (50 males and 50 females) were compared with 36 preoperative Chinese patients (13 males and 23 females).
Microsatellite instability (MSI) is detected in a wide variety of tumors. It is thought that mismatch repair gene mutation or inactivation is the major cause of MSI. Microsatellite sequences are predominantly distributed in intergenic or intronic DNA.

This study aimed to determine the potential risk factors and outcomes of shunt-dependent hydrocephalus in aneurysmal SAH patients but without hydrocephalus upon arrival at the hospital.
Methods: One hundred and sixty-eight aneurysmal SAH patients were evaluated.
State-of-the-art quantum simulations on a full-dimensional ab initio potential energy surface are used to characterize the properties of the water hexamer. The relative populations of the different isomers are determined over a wide range of temperatures. While the prism isomer is identified as the global minimum-energy structure, the quantum simulations, which explicitly include zero-point energy and quantum thermal motion, predict that both the cage and prism isomers are present at low temperature down to almost 0 K.

A near-infrared optical imaging approach for locating a target embedded in a turbid medium is introduced. The target localization is based on an analysis of the spatial variation of the transmitted-light intensity distribution for illumination at different positions on the sample boundary. The approach is used to detect, locate and generate images of absorbing targets embedded inside model scattering media of thickness approximately 50 times the transport mean free path of the medium, as well as, of ex vivo biological tissue specimens.

This complex-forming reaction is known for its unusual kinetics and dynamics because of its unique potential energy surface, which is dominated by the HOCO wells flanked by an entrance channel bottleneck and a transition state leading to the H + CO(2) products. It was found that the thermal rate coefficients are in reasonably good agreement with known experimental data in both low and high pressure limits.

However, the high axial resolution of OCT makes it very sensitive to the pulsatile bulk motion noise in the axial direction.
