Background: There are currently no reliable diagnostic biomarkers or treatments for lupus nephritis (LN), a complication of systemic lupus erythematosus. Objective: We aimed to explore gene networks and potential biomarkers for LN by analyzing the GSE32591 and GSE113342 datasets from the Gene Expression Omnibus database, focusing on and -related genes.
Methods: We used differential expression analysis, functional enrichment, protein-protein interaction (PPI) network construction, and the CIBERSORT algorithm for immune infiltration assessment.
Importance: Clinicians often approach urate-lowering therapy (ULT) cautiously in patients with gout and impaired kidney function because they are concerned about the risk of progression to severe or end-stage kidney disease. However, evidence from randomized clinical trials of this association remains inconclusive.
Objective: To evaluate the association between achieving target serum urate level with ULT and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) to severe or end-stage in patients with gout and impaired kidney function.

Utilizing single-cell transcriptomic sequencing data, we revealed that Treg cells primarily express TIGIT in both psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, and identified a subset of macrophages that highly express SGK1. These cells can interact with T cells via the NECTIN2-TIGIT signaling pathway, inhibiting the differentiation of T cells into a pro-inflammatory phenotype, thereby uncovering a common immunoregulatory mechanism in both diseases.
