Interplay between seismic and aseismic slip could shed light on the frictional properties and seismic potential of faults. The well-recorded 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquake doublet provides an excellent opportunity to understand their partitioning on strike-slip faults. Here, we utilize InSAR and strong motion data to derive the coseismic rupture during the doublet, ~4-month postseismic afterslip, and slip distributions of two Mw>6.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between HALP scores and poor outcomes in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM).
Methods: Patients with AIS and type 2 DM were screened from the Third China National Stroke Registry (CNSR-III) and divided into quartiles based on their HALP scores at admission.
In the acute stage of stroke, stress hyperglycemia is common in both diabetic and nondiabetic patients. The associations between stress hyperglycemia and functional outcomes, as well as stroke recurrence were heterogeneous in previous studies. We aimed to demonstrate these associations in a general population of patients with ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA).

Background And Aim: The analyses of longitudinal changes in remnant cholesterol (RC) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains are limited. The objective of the study was to investigate the associations of longitudinal changes in RC with the risks of CVD and its subtypes (myocardial infarction [MI] and stroke).
Methods And Results: The participants were enrolled in the Kailuan study.
Aim: To assess risk profiles and pathways for incident type 2 diabetes by age at onset.
Materials And Methods: Based on the Kailaun study, 92,020 participants without type 2 diabetes were enrolled and classified into four age-onset groups as < 55, 55 to < 65, 65 to < 75, and ≥ 75 years. Clinical risk factors and serum biomarkers were examined.
The cerebrospinal fluid-contacting nucleus(CSF-contacting nucleus) is a pair of unique nuclei in the brain parenchyma which has long been demonstrated to play an important role in pain signal processing. However, the mechanisms by which the CSF-contacting nucleus intervenes in pain is unclear. The NRG1-ErbB4 signaling plays an important role in the nervous system and has been shown to be involved in the regulation of pain.

However, it remains unknown whether canagliflozin alleviates the post-resuscitation myocardial dysfunction (PRMD) in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Objective: To explore the effects and potential mechanisms of canagliflozin on myocardial function after cardiac arrest (CA) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in a type 2 diabetic rat model.
Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of PD-1 blockade combined with cisplatin and paclitaxel (TP)-based chemotherapy as first-line treatment for advanced penile squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC).
Patients And Methods: A retrospective review was performed of 32 eligible patients with high-risk stage IV (cN3M0-1) PSCC who received first-line PD-1 blockade combined with TP-based chemotherapy at 5 medical centers (2019-2023). Clinical responses were assessed using RECIST version 1.
Background: Knowledge regarding adenocarcinoma of the rete testis (ACRT) is extremely limited due to its scarcity.
Methods And Results: This study enrolled 18 patients with ACRT from multiple institutions. Clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features were investigated, together with a comprehensive review of 95 previously reported cases.
Objective: To investigate the temporal trend in cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality and its impact on life expectancy (LE) gains across different Socio-demographic Index (SDI) regions.
Methods: Cause-specific mortality estimates during 1980-2021 were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease 2021 study. An age-period-cohort (APC) analysis was adopted to estimate the net/local drifts and the age/period/cohort effects of CVD mortality.

Background: Insulin resistance coexist with many metabolic disorders, whether these disorders were promotors or pathway-factors for the association of insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease (CVD) remained unclear. We aimed to investigate the pathways related to elevated the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and pathways through elevated TyG index to the occurrence of CVD in Chinese adults.
Methods: A total of 96,506 participants were enrolled from the Kailuan study.
The rapid development of GaAs photocathodes has led to an increased focus on the attainment of high quantum efficiency. Three types of exponential-doping structures with a high to low doping concentration distribution from the interior to the surface are proposed for reflective GaAs emission layers. These three structures generate different built-in electric fields that facilitate photoelectron emission.

Objective: Ginkgo diterpene lactone meglumine (GDLM) could improve the functional outcome after acute ischemic stroke (AIS). This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of GDLM on the quality of life in patients with AIS in China.
Methods: This is a post hoc analysis of Efficacy and Safety of Ginkgo Diterpene Lactone Meglumine in Acute Ischemic Stroke trial.
Evidence on the combined effect of time in the target range (TTR) for systolic blood pressure (SBP) and fasting blood glucose (FBG) in real-world settings was scarce. We aimed to evaluate the separate and combined effects of SBP TTR and FBG TTR on cardiovascular disease (CVD) and all-cause mortality risks among participants with comorbidity of hypertension and diabetes. The data was derived from the Kailuan study.

Methods: A total of 6900 participants aged 45 years or older with available data on eGDR and hsCRP and without cardiometabolic diseases at baseline from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study were included. CMM was defined as the coexistence of two or more cardiometabolic diseases, including heart diseases, stroke, and diabetes.
Ischemia-reperfusion injury resulting from severe hemorrhagic shock continues to cause substantial damage to human health and impose a significant economic burden. In this study, we designed an Au-loaded yolk-shell MoS nanoreactor (Au@MoS) that regulates cellular homeostasis. experiments validated the efficacy of the nanomaterial in reducing intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production during hypoxia and reoxygenation, and had great cell biocompatibility, Au@MoS.
