Herein, DNA nanostructures were prepared via a palindromic padlock probe-based rolling circle amplification (called P-RCA) and then employed to implement the sensitive and specific detection of let-7a miRNA extracted from cancer cells without chemical modification. The presence of target let-7a miRNA as a polymerization primer can trigger the P-RCA process, generating a long tandemly repetitive DNA strand. The resulting products can fold into nanostructures via self-hybridization of palindromic regions and possess numerous double-stranded fragments.

We studied the chemical profile, within-flower spatial distribution (sepals, petals, pistils with stamina and pedicels), diurnal emission kinetics and effects of exogenous methyl jasmonate (MeJA) application on the emission of floral volatiles by dynamic headspace collection and identification using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and proton transfer reaction mass spectrometry (PTR-MS). Metastasis is the cause of most (>90%) cancer deaths and currently lacks effective treatments. Approaches to understanding the biological process, unraveling the most effective molecular target(s), and implementing nanotechnology to increase the therapeutic index are expected to facilitate cancer therapy against metastasis. Proposed as a fundamental symmetry describing our Universe, spacetime supersymmetry (SUSY) has not been discovered yet in nature. Nonetheless, it has been predicted that SUSY may emerge in low-energy physics of quantum materials such as topological superconductors and Weyl semimetals. Here, by performing state-of-the-art sign-problem-free quantum Monte Carlo simulations of an interacting two-dimensional topological superconductor, we show convincing evidence that the N=1 SUSY emerges at its edge quantum critical point (EQCP) while its bulk remains gapped and topologically nontrivial.
