Aromatic amines (AAs) are a typical class of carcinogenic contaminants frequently present in food packaging materials. Considering the huge consumption of tea beverages in our daily life and the frequently usage of packaging materials in tea beverages, establishment of sensitive and selective method to detect polar and trace AAs in tea beverages is urgently needed. Herein, a sulfonamide-functionalized magnetic microporous organic network (MMON-SONH) was synthesized for the efficient magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) of AAs from tea beverages through the pre-designed electrostatic attraction, π-π, hydrophobic, and hydrogen bonding interactions.

Owing to their incomplete digestion in the human body and inadequate removal by sewage treatment plants, antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) accumulate in water bodies, potentially affecting the exposed humans and aquatic organisms. Therefore, sensitive and reliable detection methods must be urgently developed for monitoring trace AEDs in environmental water samples. Herein, a novel phenylboronic acid-functionalized magnetic cyclodextrin microporous organic network (FeO@CD-MON-PBA) was designed and synthesized via the thiol-yne click post-modification strategy for selective and efficient magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) of trace AEDs from complex sample matrices through the specific B-N coordination, π-π, hydrogen bonding, electrostatic, and host-guest interactions.

Article Synopsis
  • The highest concentrations were found in the upstream areas due to pollution from agriculture and livestock, while downstream pollution correlated with urban activities and economic growth.
  • Risk assessments indicated varying ecological dangers, with specific antibiotics like ofloxacin and enrofloxacin posing high risks to both ecology and human health.

Objective: To analyze the impact of attack frequency as well as therapy strategies on outcome of patients with vasovagal syncope (VVS).

Methods: A total of 159 patients (aged from 15 - 59 years old) with VVS were included in this study. Patients were divided into low frequency (< 3) group (n = 95) and high (≥ 3) frequency group (n = 64) according to the attack frequency in the past 5 years at the primary survey.
