Remediating soil contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) presents a significant environmental challenge due to their toxic and carcinogenic properties. Traditional PAHs remediation methods-chemical, thermal, and bioremediation-along with conventional soil-washing agents like surfactants and cyclodextrins face challenges of cost, ecological harm, and inefficiency. Here we show an effective and environmentally friendly calixarene derivative for PAHs removal through soil washing.

The engineered hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites (HOIPs) with outstanding multifunctionalities have realized overarching targeted-driven applications and thus aroused intense research interest. The emergence of three-dimensional (3D) A(II)B(I)X-type HOIPs in 2018 brought a breakthrough to extend the 3D perovskite family and successfully realized prominent ferroelectricity at the same time. Clopidogrel inhibits platelet aggregation and has beneficial effects on patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting surgery, but it is unknown whether clopidogrel inhibits the neointima formation of grafted veins. In this study, we used a murine vein graft model to study the effect of clopidogrel on intima hyperplasia of the vein graft. Vein grafting was performed among C57BL/6J mice, immediately after surgery; 1 mg/kg clopidogrel and vehicle control were used to inject mice peritoneally daily for 2 weeks.
