Molecular characterization of a cation-dependent mannose-6-phosphate receptor gene in Crassostrea hongkongensis and its responsiveness in Vibrio alginolyticus infection.

The cation-dependent mannose-6-phosphate receptor (CD-M6PR) is a P-type lectin that plays a crucial role in lysosomal enzyme transport, bacterial resistance, and viral entry. In this study, we cloned and analyzed the ORF of the CD-M6PR gene from Crassostrea hongkongensis and named it ChCD-M6PR. We analyzed the nucleotide and amino acid sequence of ChCD-M6PR, its tissue expression pattern and immune response to Vibrio alginolyticus.

Reliability and validity of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index among frontline COVID-19 health care workers using classical test theory and item response theory.

Study Objectives: The applicability of sleep-related scales to frontline medical staff for the COVID-19 pandemic has not been fully proved, so sleep survey results lack credibility and accuracy, creating difficulties for the guidance and treatment of frontline medical staff with sleep disorders, which is not conducive to the prevention and control of COVID-19. This study sought to analyze the reliability and validity of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) among frontline medical staff fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: A network questionnaire survey was used to investigate the PSQI among frontline medical staff who fought COVID-19 in Wuhan, China from March 19 to April 15, 2020.

Objectives: Nightmares were related to emotion and behavioral problems and also emerged as one of the core features of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Our study aimed to investigate the associations of frequent nightmares with sleep duration and sleep efficiency among frontline medical workers in Wuhan during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.

Methods: A total of 528 health-care workers from the province of Fujian providing medical aid in Wuhan completed the online questionnaires.

Weekday and weekend sleep deprivation are associated with recurrent nightmare in adolescents: a cross-sectional study.

Objective: Our study aimed to investigate the association between sleep deprivation and parasomnias including nightmare and sleepwalking in Chinese adolescents.

Methods: A total of 19,229 high school students aged 10-20 in Fuzhou were invited to complete questionnaires regarding sleep duration, parasomnias including nightmare and sleepwalking, and emotional problems. Subjects with sleep deprivation (SD) defined as sleeping less than 8 h either on weekdays or on weekends were categorized as three groups: weekday SD, weekend SD and habitual SD.

A significant association was found between hyposmia and cognitive impairment of PD. Serum soluble lymphocyte activation gene-3 as a diagnostic biomarker in Parkinson's disease: A pilot multicenter study.

Objective: Lymphocyte activation gene-3 (LAG-3) could mediate pathological α-synuclein transmission in neurodegeneration and may be involved in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease (PD). The aim of the present study was to explore soluble LAG-3 (sLAG-3) as a potential diagnostic biomarker for PD.

Objectives: Fatty acids (FA) in human milk play an important role in meeting the nutritional demands and promoting the growth and development of breastfeeding infants. Breast milk FA is sensitive to maternal dietary habits, and dietary patterns are better used to explain the effect of diet on FA. Few studies have examined the association between maternal dietary patterns and the FA components of breast milk in developing countries.

Effects of acute morphine withdrawal on ultrasonic vocalizations in adult rats: unchanged 50-kHz call rate and altered subtype profile.

Rationale: Adult rat 22- and 50-kHz ultrasonic vocalizations (USVs) are commonly considered as indices of negative and positive affect, respectively. More specifically, we have proposed that positive affective states are revealed by a predominance of trill over flat 50-kHz call subtypes. However, the 50-kHz call subtypes emitted during aversive drug states remain largely uninvestigated.

RBD: a red flag for cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease?

Increasing evidence indicates a strong association between rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD) and Parkinson's disease - cognitive impairment (PD-CI). Numerous longitudinal and cross-sectional studies have shown that RBD may be an important risk factor and predictor of Parkinson's disease - mild cognitive impairment (PD-MCI) and Parkinson's disease dementia (PDD); which may be explained by the association of mechanisms between RBD and PD-CI, including neurotransmitter alterations, genetic mutation, neuroinflammation, alpha-synuclein inclusion, abnormal cerebral metabolism and cortical activity slowing. Understanding the role of RBD in cognition of PD, we may predict and prevent the presence of PD-CI.

[Application of tissue flaps in repair of limbs injuries].

Objective: To summarize and analyze the main point on the reconstruction of traumatic tissue defects of limbs with vascularized skin and multi-tissue flaps.

Methods: Sixty-seven cases of traumatic tissue defects of limbs were reconstructed with 14 kinds of skin or multi-tissue flaps. The operative methods included local transposition, cross-transposition with vessel pedicles and vessel anastomosed free transplantation.
