Fraxetin, a natural derivative of coumarin, is known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and hepatoprotective effects in multiple diseases and in liver fibrosis. Whether fraxetin exerts similar effects against renal fibrosis is unknown. Here we report a case of cervical spondylosis misdiagnosed as cerebral infarction. The patient was a 55-year-old man with a one-day history of weakness in his right extremities.
