Background: Currently, the lack of comparative studies between weekly and daily formulations of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) for glucose excursion is worth investigation.

Aim: To investigate the effects of weekly and daily formulations of GLP-1RA on glucose excursion and inflammation in overweight and obese patients with type 2 diabetes.

Methods: Seventy patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were treated at our hospital between January 2019 and January 2022 were enrolled in this retrospective analysis.

To explore alterations of resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) in sensorimotor cortex following strokes with left or right hemiplegia considering the lateralization and neuroplasticity. Seventy-three resting-state functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) files were selected, including 26 from left hemiplegia (LH), 21 from right hemiplegia (RH) and 26 from normal controls (NC) group. Whole-brain analyses matching the Pearson correlation were used for rsFC calculations.

Objective: To explore the risk factors for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and the correlation with bone mineral density (BMD) in different areas of the body.

Methods: A total of 434 postmenopausal women with T2DM were enrolled and categorized as 198 patients in the NAFLD group and 236 patients in the non-NAFLD group based on color Doppler ultrasound of the liver. The BMD of the lumbar spine, femoral neck, and total hip were measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry.

Identification of Wohlfahrtiimonas chitiniclastica isolated from an infected cow with hoof fetlow, China.

Wohlfahrtiimonas chitiniclastica is a rare but an emerging zoonotic pathogen. Here, we report the isolation and identification of W. chitiniclastica strain DZ2015 from hoof pus of an infected cow with hoof fetlow in Shandong, China by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry.

Improvement of the Immunogenicity of Porcine Circovirus Type 2 DNA Vaccine by Recombinant ORF2 Gene and CpG Motifs.

Nowadays, adjuvant is still important for boosting immunity and improving resistance in animals. In order to boost the immunity of porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) DNA vaccine, CpG motifs were inserted. In this study, the dose-effect was studied, and the immunity of PCV2 DNA vaccines by recombinant open reading frame 2 (ORF2) gene and CpG motifs was evaluated.

[Construction and immunogenicity of recombinant adenovirus tandem expressing M and GP5 of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus].

The M protein gene of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus amplified by PCR was tandem linked with its GP5 gene in shuttle vector in correct frame, resulting in shuttle vector pShuttle-CMV-M-GP5. The positive clone was identified by PCR and further confirmed by sequencing. The constructed plasmid was linearized with Pme I and co-transformed BJ5183 host bacteria with pAdEasy-1 to produce recombinant adenovirus DNA by homologous recombination.
