Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT)-sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (SOS), also known as veno-occlusive disease, is a clinical syndrome characterized by symptoms, such as right upper quadrant pain, jaundice, fluid retention, and hepatomegaly, and is caused by pre-treatment-related hepatotoxicity during the early stages after HSCT. The revised standard by the European Society for Bone Marrow Transplantation in 2016 has good practicability and can be used in combination with these two standards.
