It has been proposed that the aberrant expressions of the classical apoptosis-related genes and the subsequent decrease of apoptosis contribute to the development of cisplatin resistance in gastric cancer. However, little is known about the correlation and the molecular regulation mechanisms of cisplatin and the apoptosis-related gene expressions. Fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF2) is a protein ligand, which exerts essential roles in development, angiogenesis, and tumor progression via activation of the downstream signaling cascades. Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that FGF2 is involved in the progression of ovarian cancer, providing a novel potential target for ovarian cancer therapy. In this study, we showed that FGF2 is significantly increased in ovarian tumors, and is negatively associated with the overall survival of ovarian cancer by database analysis.

The prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase-2 (PTGS2) plays essential roles in diverse pathological process. Although recent studies implied that PTGS2 was closely related with chemoresistance, the precise roles and the underlying mechanisms of PTGS2 in the developing process of chemoresistance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remained elusive. In the present study, we revealed a novel molecular mechanism of PTGS2 implicated in the chemoresistance of NSCLC and proposed a model for the positive feedback regulation of PTGS2 in the process of developing resistance phenotype in NSCLC cells.

This paper deals with a current sensor fault reconstruction algorithm for the torque closed-loop drive system of an interior PMSM. First, sensor faults are equated to actuator ones by a new introduced state variable. Then, in αβ coordinates, based on the motor model with active flux linkage, a current observer is constructed with a specific sliding mode equivalent control methodology to eliminate the effects of unknown disturbances, and the phase current sensor faults are reconstructed by means of an adaptive method.

This paper proposes a current sensor fault detection method based on a sliding mode observer for the torque closed-loop control system of interior permanent magnet synchronous motors. First, a sliding mode observer based on the extended flux linkage is built to simplify the motor model, which effectively eliminates the phenomenon of salient poles and the dependence on the direct axis inductance parameter, and can also be used for real-time calculation of feedback torque. Then a sliding mode current observer is constructed in αβ coordinates to generate the fault residuals of the phase current sensors.

A detailed analysis of multiple diffraction data collected by the stereoscopic multibeam imaging technique from a tetragonal lysozyme crystal is reported. Calculations based on the dynamical theory are employed to account for diffraction profiles obtained with Bragg-angle scan in stereoscopic imaging and the conventional azimuthal scan in Renninger arrangement. The formation of a multibeam intensity profile and the relationship and mutual influence between the two scans are investigated.
