Cuproptosis, a newly identified form of cell death, has drawn increasing attention for its association with various cancers, though its specific role in colorectal cancer (CRC) remains unclear. In this study, transcriptomic and clinical data from CRC patients available in the TCGA database were analyzed to investigate the impact of cuproptosis. Differentially expressed genes linked to cuproptosis were identified using Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis (WGCNA).

Bacterial contamination is an intractable challenge in food safety, environments and biomedicine fields, and places a heavy burden on society. Polydopamine (PDA), a high molecular biopolymer, is considered as a promising candidate to participate in the design of novel antibacterial agents with unique contributions in biocompatibility, adherence, photothermal and metal coordination ability. In this study, coral-like ZIFL-PDA@AgNPs with excellent antibacterial properties and biocompatibility were prepared by embedding AgNPs into the biopolymer PDA-modulated ZIFL-PDA nanostructures by green reduction method to solve the problem with poor stability of AgNPs.

It has the effects of reducing inflammation, counteracting oxidative stress, and averting strokes caused by persistent cerebral hypoperfusion. Prior research on Erdun-Uril has predominantly concentrated on its pharmacodynamics and mechanism of action; however, there has been a lack of systematic and comprehensive investigation into its chemical constituents.

The gut microbiome-metabolites-kidney axis is a potential target for treating diabetic kidney disease (DKD). Our previous study found that Liraglutide attenuated DKD in rats by decreasing renal tubular ectopic lipid deposition (ELD) and serum metabolites levels, including L-5-Oxoproline (5-OP). However, the response of gut microbiome-metabolites-kidney axis to Liraglutide in DKD rats and the effect of 5-OP on ELD remain unknown.

In bioimaging, pretargeting strategies have often been used, using click reactions between molecular probes with a click handle and reporter molecules that make them observable. Recent efforts have integrated tissue-clearing techniques with fluorescent labeling through click chemistry, allowing high-resolution three-dimensional fluorescence imaging.

In this study, dysregulated gene Tweety homolog 3 (TTYH3) was identified by Gene Expression Omnibus database. Public databases were used to predict potential competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) for TTYH3.

However, the key genes and pathways regulating anoikis in CRC are still unclear and require further research. The single cell transcriptome dataset GSE221575 of GEO database was downloaded and applied to cell subpopulation type identification, intercellular communication, pseudo time cell trajectory analysis, and receptor ligand expression analysis of CRC.

This study used high-throughput sequencing technology to systematically analyze the venom components of the tentacles, column, and mesenterial filaments of sea anemone Heteractis crispa, revealing the diversity and complexity of sea anemone toxins in different tissues. A total of 1049 transcripts were identified and categorized into 60 families, of which 91.

Methods: Adult Wistar Albino rats were assigned into control, model (liver trauma), MSCs, and MSC-exos groups (n = 6). The study examined changes in the inflammatory environment in liver tissues were analyzed by histological examination and analysis of macrophage phenotypes.
Background: Rapid and accurate segmentation of tumor regions from rectal cancer images can better understand the patientâs lesions and surrounding tissues, providing more effective auxiliary diagnostic information. However, cutting rectal tumors with deep learning still cannot be compared with manual segmentation, and a major obstacle to cutting rectal tumors with deep learning is the lack of high-quality data sets.
Objective: We propose to use our Re-segmentation Method to manually correct the model segmentation area and put it into training and training ideas.
Hypoxia is involved in various diseases, such as cancers. Pimonidazole has often been used as the gold-standard marker to visualize hypoxic regions. Pimonidazole labels hypoxic regions by forming a covalent bond with a neighboring protein under hypoxic conditions in the body, which is detected by immunohistochemistry performed on tissue sections.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 87 patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer who underwent laparoscopic anterior rectal resection with preserved LCA at the Department of Gastroenterology, Sichuan Cancer Hospital, between March 2018 and April 2022, aiming to observe the emanation location, anatomical typing, and travel trajectory of the LCA, as well as its relationship with the inferior mesenteric vein (IMV).
Results: In all observed cases, we observed that the LCA emanated from the left side of the inferior mesenteric artery (IMA), and the average distance from the root of the IMA to the emanation of the LCA was approximately 3.
Effective and easy regulation of hydrogel surface properties without changing the overall chemical composition is important for their diverse applications but remains challenging to achieve. We report a generalizable strategy to reconfigure hydrogel surface networks based on hydrogel-substrate interface dynamics for manipulation of hydrogel surface wettability and bioadhesion. We show that the grafting of hydrophobic yet flexible polymeric chains on mold substrates can significantly elevate the content of hydrophobic polymer backbones and reduce the presence of polar groups in hydrogel surface networks, thereby transforming the otherwise hydrophilic hydrogel surface into a hydrophobic surface.

In the realm of Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) are crucial software entities that require execution on virtualized hardware infrastructure. Deploying a Service Function Chain (SFC) requires multiple steps for instantiating VNFs to analyze, request, deploy, and monitor resources. It is well recognized that the sharing of infrastructure resources among different VNFs will enhance resource utilization.

Robot-assisted minimally invasive surgery has been broadly employed in complicated operations. However, the multiple surgical instruments may occupy a large amount of visual space in complex operations performed in narrow spaces, which affects the surgeon's judgment on the shape and position of the lesion as well as the course of its adjacent vessels/lacunae. In this paper, a surgical scene reconstruction method is proposed, which involves the tracking and removal of surgical instruments and the dynamic prediction of the obscured region.
