"Cortical" Wrist Drop due to a Cerebral Peduncle Infarct.

Wrist drops are usually due to a peripheral neuropathy affecting the radial nerve. Cortical wrist drops may occur, usually due to a lesion in the contralateral hand area of the motor cortex. We report a unique case of "cortical" wrist drop due to an acute infarction of the contralateral cerebral peduncle.

Acromioclavicular joint injuries: Imaging and management.

Acromioclavicular joint injuries are commonly encountered in the setting of shoulder trauma. Knowledge of the anatomy and biomechanics of the joint, grading of joint injuries, and understanding the capabilities and limitations of different radiological modalities will help in selecting the best management option and outcomes for affected patients.

Pattern of osteophyte distribution in primary osteoarthritis of the elbow.

The goal of this study was to look at the pattern of osteophyte distribution on a 3-dimensional computed tomography scan of patients with symptomatic osteoarthritis in the elbow. We recruited 22 consecutive patients with symptomatic osteoarthritis of the elbow for the study. Three-dimensional reconstructed anterior, posterior, medial, and lateral views of the elbow were reviewed.

Triple endobutton technique in acromioclavicular joint reduction and reconstruction.

Introduction: Acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) dislocation is a common injury often affecting young athletes. Cyclist, ice hockey players, weight lifters, rugby players and martial exponents are the most common athletes sustaining these injuries. Majority of these athletes sustain highgrade injuries requiring surgical management to allow them to return to their sports.

Simultaneous reconstruction of medial and lateral elbow ligaments for instability using a circumferential graft.

Reconstructing elbow instability remains a challenging problem. Techniques described have included techniques for the lateral ligamentous complex, including the lateral ulnar collateral ligament, and techniques to reconstruct the medial collateral ligament. We describe a new circumferential technique to reconstruct both the lateral and medial ligament complexes, using 1 circular graft.
