: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide, requiring strategic efforts to reduce its mortality. This study aimed to develop a predictive classification model for breast cancer mortality using real-world data, including various clinical features. : A total of 11,286 patients with breast cancer from the National Cancer Center were included in this study.

Unlike conventional FIR lamp therapy, this study investigated how body fluids change depending on the intensity and duration of FIR irradiation to the whole body. : Subjects in group A ( = 27) were exposed to FIR emitted from a loess bio-ball mat set at 40 °C for 30 min, and subjects in group B ( = 27) were exposed to FIR emitted from a loess bio-ball mat set at 30 °C for 7 h during sleep.

Prior research has found associations between individual-level socioeconomic factors and hopelessness, but less is known about the potential importance of neighborhood-level socioeconomic contexts for hopelessness. In particular, the role of neighborhood disorder as a potential explanatory factor for poor psychological well-being remains underexplored.

Patients were categorized into two subgroups based on their treatment regimen: one group received vitrectomy only (Group 1), while the other received combined phacovitrectomy (Group 2). A comparative analysis was conducted to evaluate the distinguishing characteristics of the two groups.

Multiple strains of HCMV enable re-infection and convalescent immunity does not protect against risk of congenital CMV (cCMV). Consequently, a cross strain protective CMV vaccine is a high priority.

This article describes the development and implementation strategy for Cancer Clinical Library Databases (CCLDs), which are standardized cancer-specific databases established under the Korea-Clinical Data Utilization Network for Research Excellence (K-CURE) project by the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare. Fifteen leading hospitals and fourteen academic associations in Korea are engaged in constructing CCLDs for 10 primary cancer types.

The specific formulation of vaccine carriers can not only shield the antigens from premature sequestering before reaching APCs but also favorably promote intracellular antigen presentation and processing. This study compares two different acid-degradable polymeric nanoparticles that are capable of encapsulating a moderately immunogenic antigen, GFP, at nearly full efficacy electrostatic interactions or molecular affinity between His tag and Ni-NTA-conjugated monomners.

Through ITS sequence analysis, the fungal isolates were identified to comprise 55 species of ascomycetes and 11 species of basidiomycetes. The 55 species of ascomycetes exclusively belong to the phylum Pezizomycotina, comprising 33 species of Dothideomycetes, 6 species of Eurotiomycetes, and 16 species of Sordariomycetes.

Raw loess retains its useful minerals, but loses their beneficial properties when calcined at 850 °C and 1050 °C. To utilize the useful minerals, loess balls were made using a low-temperature wet-drying method.

Here, we present time-resolved mRNA interactome data by performing pulse metabolic labeling with photoactivatable ribonucleoside in human cells, UVA crosslinking, poly(A)+ RNA isolation, and mass spectrometry. This longitudinal approach allowed the quantification of over 700 RNA binding proteins (RBPs) across ten time points.

Results: The primary tumor cells showed a significant (P < 0.05) defect for UV-induced upregulation of the Trp53 protein, and consisted of different ratios of leukocytes, fibroblasts, epithelial cells and mesenchymal cells.
Eco/bioresorbable electronics represent an emerging class of technology defined by an ability to dissolve or otherwise harmlessly disappear in environmental or biological surroundings after a period of stable operation. The resulting devices provide unique capabilities as temporary biomedical implants, environmental sensors, and related systems. Recent publications report schemes to overcome challenges in fabrication that follow from the low thermostability and/or high chemical reactivity of the eco/bioresorbable constituent materials.

Objectives: Prior research into the factors linked to mental health of caregivers of older adults have largely focused on individual- or household-level characteristics, but neighborhood supports and stressors may also matter for caregiver mental health. The current study fills this knowledge gap by examining the association of neighborhood social cohesion and disorder and depressive symptoms among spousal caregivers.
Method: We used data from the 2006 to 2016 waves of the Health and Retirement Study, which include 2,322 spousal caregivers.
This study aimed to investigate the survival outcomes and prognostic factors associated with the surgical approach in patients with early-stage cervical cancer. We retrospectively analyzed 245 patients with stage IB1 to IIA2 cervical cancer who underwent radical hysterectomy with pelvic lymphadenectomy between 2004 and 2019 at Dong-A University Hospital. A total of 59 patients underwent minimally invasive surgery (MIS), and 186 patients underwent open surgery.
