Multicentre surveillance of antimicrobial susceptibility of clinically important Gram-negative bacteria (GNB) from 16 Taiwanese hospitals was performed. Orbital compartment syndrome poses a significant risk for vision loss if not promptly treated. The authors report a patient with neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus presenting with bilateral orbital compartment syndrome and rapid decompensation leading to uncal and tonsillar herniation. While extremely rare, bilateral orbital compartment syndrome should prompt consideration of systemic etiologies including neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus.

Intraorbital arteriovenous fistula is a rare vascular disease characterized by an acquired arteriovenous communication without direct cavernous sinus involvement. Intraorbital arteriovenous fistula may develop slowly and present similarly to other insidious orbitopathies, such as carotid-cavernous fistula. Adaptive paradigms for mapping phonological regions in individual participants.

Phonological encoding depends on left-lateralized regions in the supramarginal gyrus and the ventral precentral gyrus. Localization of these phonological regions in individual participants-including individuals with language impairments-is important in several research and clinical contexts. To localize these regions, we developed two paradigms that load on phonological encoding: a rhyme judgment task and a syllable counting task.

Dendritic cells (DCs) are capable of activating adaptive immune responses, or inducing immune suppression or tolerance. Recurrent ovarian mixed germ cell tumor with unusual malignant transformation: a case report.

Background: The value of this report is the identification of late recurrence with an extremely unusual combination of malignant transformation. In particular, the retroconversion of immature to mature teratoma as well as a somatic-type malignant transformation were both observed postchemotherapeutically in our case.

Case Presentation: We report the case of a 20-year-old girl who completed fertility-sparing surgery and chemotherapy under the diagnosis of ovarian mixed germ cell tumor (immature teratoma and yolk sac tumor) and experienced subsequent recurrence 4 years after a second debulking surgery with a somatic type malignant transformation (teratoma with melanoma and leiomyosarcoma).
