Purpose: Given the occurrence of comorbidities in geriatric patients, the postoperative period of hip fractures may progress with high morbidity and mortality. Recently, several inflammatory markers have been used to evaluate the treatment course. Herein, we prospectively followed-up and examined the relationship between preoperative fibrinogen/albumin ratio(FAR) and morbidity/mortality in elderly patients with hip fracture.

Adaptation and validation of the Turkish version of the Quality of Life Profile for Spinal Deformities in idiopathic scoliosis.

The Quality of Life Profile for spinal deformities (QLPSD) was developed to evaluate the quality of life of patients with scoliosis and other spinal deformities. The purpose of the study was to systematically translate the QLPSD into Turkish and examine the reliability and validity of the Turkish version. This methodological study was conducted with 125 participants with idiopathic scoliosis.

Is YouTube a Reliable and Quality Source on Unilateral Biportal Endoscopic Spine Surgery? A Cross-Sectional Study.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the quality and reliability of YouTube videos focusing on unilateral biportal endoscopic spine surgery, a novel technique for spinal decompression in degenerative spinal disease.

Methods: This cross-sectional study, conducted in February 2023, involved an online search on YouTube using the term "unilateral biportal endoscopic spine surgery". Video popularity was assessed using the Video Power Index.
