Background: Chronic sleep deprivation is widespread and associated with detrimental health outcomes, including inflammation. A common strategy to address weekday sleep deficits is weekend catch-up sleep (WCS). However, the relevance of the WCS on systemic inflammation, as quantified by the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), remains inadequately understood.

Background: This study aims to evaluate the incidence of hyperkalemia and serum potassium levels associated with the use of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT-2i), renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitors (RAASi) and concurrent use of these medications in individuals with diabetic kidney disease (DKD).

Methods: A comprehensive systematic search was performed in EMBASE, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), Web of Science, Scopus, and PubMed database, covering studies up to March 2024. Relevant randomized controlled trials (RCT) included adults with DKD who were treated with SGLT-2i and RAASi or their combination, with a minimum follow-up duration of 12 weeks.

: Despite considerable literature supporting the benefit of dietary interventions in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and overweight/obesity, which diet works best is currently unknown. We conducted a systematic review and network meta-analysis (NMA) to evaluate the comparative effectiveness of different dietary approaches in overweight or obese adults with T2DM. : We searched EMBASE, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) and PubMed up till July 2023 for controlled studies using different dietary approaches.

Polycystic ovary yndrome (PCOS) is a common metabolic disorder in women, which is usually associated with insulin resistance (IR) and chronic inflammation. Loureirin B (LrB) can effectively improve insulin resistance and alleviate chronic inflammation, and in order to investigate the therapeutic effect of LrB on polycystic ovary syndrome with insulin resistance (PCOS-IR), we conducted animal experiments. A PCOS-IR rat model was established by feeding a high-fat diet combined with letrozole (1 mg/kg·d for 21 days).

As a systemic autoimmune disease, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) usually causes damage not only to joints, but also to other tissues and organs including the heart, kidneys, lungs, digestive system, eyes, skin, and nervous system. Excessive complications are closely related to the prognosis of RA patients and even lead to increased mortality. This article summarizes the serious complications of RA, focusing on its incidence, pathogenesis, clinical features, and treatment methods, aiming to provide a reference for clinicians to better manage the complications of RA.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the relationship between systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and osteoporosis (OP) based on bioinformatics.

Methods: The expression profiles of SLE and OP gene chips were searched through the GEO database, and the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened out to obtain the intersection. Then, the Funrich software was used to predict the upstream miRNAs of the intersection genes, and the miRNA-mRNA relationship network was constructed.

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of low molecular weight heparin on the curative effect of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) patients through a systematic evaluation method.

Methods: Databases such as PubMed, Cochrane Library database, Web of Science, CNKI, China Biological Medical Literature Database (CBM), VIP, Wanfang database were searched to retrieve randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on low molecular weight heparin and conventional treatment on the efficacy and prognosis of patients with acute lung injury (ALI)/ARDS from the establishment of the database to September 2020. The conventional treatment group was given conventional treatment, and the low molecular heparin group was given low molecular heparin based on conventional treatment.

Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), known as lupus, is a chronic autoimmune disease and there is no cure for SLE. The western medication can improve syndromes to some extent; however, severe adverse drug reactions appear at the same time. Recently, it is confirmed that Chinese medicine also can have an excellent clinical efficacy on SLE.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease, which can lead to joint destruction, dysfunction, finally deformity. Currently, Western medicine treats it with disease-modifying antireheumatic drugs, NSAIDs, glucocorticoid, biological agents, etc, which can induce adverse drug reactions. And now, as an important mean of treating RA, Zhuang medicine has been widely used in clinics, and has achieved significant efficacy.

Background: A lot of attention has been given to premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) as it poses considerable health risks to women. It is characterized by oligomenorrhea, amenorrhea, infertility, autoimmune disorders, and ischemic heart disease, with increased mortality. Previous research indicates that auricular acupuncture is proven effective in treating POI in clinical practice.

Background: Primary dysmenorrhea (PD) is one of the common gynecological diseases, the incidence of PD is on the rise and young women are more likely to have it, which seriously affects women's physical, mental health and work life. Intradermal acupuncture is effective in treating PD. However, due to the lack of evidence, there is no specific method or suggestion, so it is necessary to carry out systematic evaluation on intradermal acupuncture and provide effective evidence for further research.
