Importance: Short sleep duration during pregnancy and the perimenopausal period has been associated with adverse cardiometabolic outcomes. However, it remains unclear how sleep duration changes after delivery and whether such changes are associated with the cardiometabolic health of birthing people.
Objective: To investigate whether persistently short sleep during pregnancy and after delivery is associated with incident hypertension and metabolic syndrome.
Use of cannabis and alcohol were common during pregnancy and the first year postpartum among people with HIV in the United States (2007-2019), but there were no major differences in substance use during pregnancy based on mode of HIV acquisition. The relatively high prevalence of substance use in this population, particularly postpartum alcohol and cannabis use, warrants further attention.

This registered report addressed this gap by training one group of participants to listen well as speakers discuss their character strengths, allowing us to isolate the role relational listening plays in strengths-based conversations. Participants were paired and randomly assigned to a high-quality listening (experimental) or moderate-quality listening (comparison) condition manipulated through a validated video-based training.

Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study using electronic health record and hospital administrative data for pregnant people at nine hospitals within a large health system in the Chicago metropolitan area from 2018 to 2023. Patient addresses were geocoded and categorized by Census tract area percent poor households.
Background: Individuals who have gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) are advised to engage in physical activity and healthy eating behaviors in the postpartum period to prevent type 2 diabetes. We aimed to understand individual perspectives on incorporating such lifestyle choices during the first postpartum year.
Methods: This was a mixed-methods analysis of data from individuals with GDM who completed surveys and in-depth interviews at 4-12 weeks and 11-13 months postpartum as part of their participation in a feasibility randomized controlled trial on postpartum patient navigation.
Phenolic compounds, which are significant emissions from biomass burning (BB), undergo rapid photochemical reactions in both gas and aqueous phases to form secondary organic aerosol, namely, gasSOA and aqSOA, respectively. The formation of gasSOA and aqSOA involves different reaction mechanisms, leading to different product distributions. In this study, we investigate the gaseous and aqueous reactions of guaiacol-a representative BB phenol-to elucidate the compositional differences between phenolic aqSOA and gasSOA.

Sinonasal carcinoma, a rare and challenging malignancy, originating in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, poses diagnostic and management complexities. This 8-year retrospective analysis at Sarawak General Hospital aims to elucidate demographic trends, histopathological entities, and management outcomes, shedding light on this multifaceted malignancy. Emphasizing the significance of accurate histopathological classification, the study explores the impact on prognostication and treatment strategies.

Ceruminous adenoma is a rare and benign tumor of the external auditory canal and present with a nonspecific symptom. Biopsy with histopathology examination is required to establish the diagnosis. Wide local excision of tumour shows favourable outcome with a low recurrence rate.

The placenta is the critical fetal support organ in pregnancy, and multiple investigations have sought associations in PWH between HIV and placental pathology. However, results have been inconclusive.

We sought to provide birth outcome data following exposure to bictegravir during pregnancy.
Design: We conducted a descriptive analysis of infants born to pregnant PWH 18-45 years of age enrolled in at least one Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS)-affiliated study who received bictegravir for ≥7 days during pregnancy and completed follow-up through delivery.
Background: Women with high-risk breast lesions, such as atypical hyperplasia (AH) or lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS), have a 4- to tenfold increased risk of breast cancer compared to women with non-proliferative breast disease. Despite high-quality data supporting chemoprevention, uptake remains low. Interventions are needed to break down barriers.

Aims: Here, we report the studies' final 8-year results.
Methods: CHB patients (hepatitis B e antigen [HBeAg]-negative and HBeAg-positive) were randomised (2:1) to double-blind TAF 25 mg/day or TDF 300 mg/day for up to 3 years, followed by open-label (OL) TAF through year 8.
Objective: To delineate the mechanism behind insurance-related disparities in the prenatal diagnosis of a congenital heart defect (CHD).
Methods: This was a retrospective analysis of electronic health records of pregnant individuals whose infants received CHD surgery between 2019 and 2020 in the third-largest United States metropolitan area. The outcome was whether a prenatal diagnosis was received.

We developed a Project ECHO® module to offer prenatal providers training on engaging in shared decision-making about hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatment during pregnancy. In this pilot program, the ECHO module addressing HCV during pregnancy and the potential benefits of treatment was associated with increases in self-efficacy scores among participants.

Currently, 14 states have implemented complete bans on abortion with very limited exceptions, and an additional 7 states have implemented abortion bans at 6 to 18 weeks' gestation. It has been well demonstrated that restrictive policies disproportionately limit abortion access for minoritized people and people of low socioeconomic status; the financial and geographic barriers of these post- restrictions will only exacerbate this disparity.

The relationship between pre-treatment baseline hepatitis B virus (HBV) viral load and HCC risk during antiviral treatment remains uncertain.
Methods: This multinational cohort study aimed to investigate the association between baseline HBV viral load and on-treatment HCC risk in 20,826 noncirrhotic, hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg)-positive and HBeAg-negative patients with baseline HBV DNA levels ≥2000 IU/mL (3.
