Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a high-burden medical condition, and current diagnostic criteria can only assess AKI after full manifestation. Stress marker growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) was reported to have a role in kidney injury of critical patients. Herein, we evaluated dynamic changes in GDF15 across diverse AKI scenarios and explored the underlying mechanisms of its induction.

Accumulating evidence also suggests that PDE5is exhibit potential benefits in cardiovascular and chronic kidney diseases.
