The aim of the presented study was to investigate the synbiotic effects of 4B15 and extract administration on the gut microbiota and obesity-associated metabolic parameters in diet-induced obese mice. Thirty-one 6-week-old male C57BL/N6 mice were divided into five diet groups: normal diet (ND, = 7) group; high-fat diet (HFD, = 6) group; probiotic (PRO, = 5) group; prebiotic (PRE, = 7) group; and synbiotic (SYN, = 6) group. After 10 weeks, the percent of fat mass, serum triglyceride, and ALT levels were significantly reduced in SYN-fed obese mice, compared with other treatments.

Background: Mucopolysaccharidosis type II patients are reported to have an elevated incidence of difficult airway. Propofol is a commonly used sedative for magnetic resonance imaging in pediatric patients, but patients who receive it may exhibit dose-dependent upper airway obstruction and respiratory depression. Dexmedetomidine also provides adequate procedural sedation with a relatively low risk of airway obstruction.

Novel red phosphorescent iridium(III) complexes, namely (MN-Q)2Ir(tmd), (MN-MQ)2Ir(tmd), (PT-P)2Ir(tmd) and (PT-MP)2Ir(tmd) were synthesized for the red phosphorescent organic lightemitting diodes (phOLEDs). The ligands have sites of both the electron donor and acceptor in a molecule.
