The chiral-polar photovoltaic effect (CPPE), widely present in chiral hybrid perovskites, has brought an unprecedented opportunity for self-powered circularly polarized light (CPL) detection. However, on account of spatial limitations of the crystal structure, currently reported CPPE primarily focuses on low-dimensional hybrid perovskites, which have a low CPL photoresponse restricted by lower carrier transport efficiency compared to three-dimensional perovskites. For the first time, we reported chiral-polar photovoltage-driven efficient self-powered CPL detection in three-dimensional chiral-polar perovskites, MHyPbBr (MHy = Methylhydrazinium).

Nevertheless, knowledge regarding microbial-driven biogeochemical cycling across mining regions remains limited. In this study, a metagenomics-based approach was employed to explore the diversity, composition, and ecological functions of microbiomes in global AMD environments with different mineral types.

Nonetheless, the toxicity of lead raises concerns regarding safety for humans and the environment, which limits their practical applicability. Herein, we successfully realized stable self-powered X-ray detection with a low detection limit using a lead-free halide hybrid perovskite ferroelectric crystal, [Hmdap]BiBr (1, Hmdap = -methyl-1,3-diaminopropanium), driven by the switchable spontaneous polarization ( ).

However, the currently reported ultraviolet optoelectronic devices are dominated by low-dimensional hybrid perovskites, in which low carrier mobility limits the photoelectric conversion efficiency. Herein, we report for the first time a polar three-dimensional OIHPs, namely MHyPbBr (1, MHy=methylhydrazine), that achieves high-performance self-driven ultraviolet photodetection.

Although recent advancements in immunotherapy have enhanced the response rates of platinum-based chemotherapy regimens, the emergence of acquired resistance invariably leads to recurrence and metastasis. Consequently, there is an urgent necessity to explore novel therapeutic targets and optimize existing treatment strategies.

However, their humidity stability is compromised due to the susceptibility of the structural components to water molecules, thereby limiting their practical application. In this work, stable and sensitive X-ray detection is achieved using high-quality bulk single crystals of the 3D perovskitoid (DMPZ)PbBr (DPB, DMPZ = N,N'-dimethyl-pyrazinium), wherein N-acid protons are replaced with hydrophobic alkyl groups.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy has shown promise for various medical problems, including wound repair processes, due to its capability to accelerate angiogenesis and relieve inflammation. This study investigated the effect of red and blue light on the survival of random skin flaps in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)-infected Sprague Dawley (SD) rats.

The purpose of this study was to assess the feasibility of vessel wall visualization using contrast-enhanced dual-energy CT (DECT)-derived water-calcium material decomposition (WMD) and subtraction-based dark-blood imaging (DBI). An additional objective of this study was to determine the association of descending aorta wall thickness (WT) and wall area (WA) with cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors and to ascertain the potential of DECT-derived WT and WA as image markers for identifying individuals at high risk for future CVD.

However, exploiting CPL-dependent APVE in chiral hybrid perovskites, a promising family with intrinsic chiroptical activity and non-centrosymmetric structure, remains challenging. Here, leveraging the flexible structural design of chiral alternating cations intercalation-type perovskites, CPL-dependent APV, for the first time, is achieved in chiral perovskites.

Bacteriophages, also known as phages, are viruses that specifically infect bacteria; thus, phage-based therapies offer promising alternatives to antibiotic treatments targeting Hv-CRKp infections. In this study, two isolated bacteriophages, Kpph1 and Kpph9, were characterized for their specificity against the Hv-CRKp NUHL30457 strain that possesses a K2 capsule serotype.

This study focuses on sulfonamide antibiotics, common in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD), to assess the influences of different organisms' toxicity data on determining WQCs and subsequent evaluation of ecological risks. A total of 263 toxicity data points from eight sulfonamides, including sulfamethoxazole (SMX) and sulfamethazine (SM2), were selected to derive WQCs using Species Sensitivity Distribution (SSD) methods.
