A Case of Synchronous Multiple Primary Malignancies Involving Multiple Myeloma and Pharyngeal Plasmacytoma in an Elderly Male: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Monoclonal plasma cells form the solitary neoplasm known as solitary plasmacytoma. Isolated extramedullary plasmacytoma is less common than solitary bone plasmacytoma. An elderly male presented with coughing blood and was diagnosed with pharyngeal plasmacytoma with synchronous multiple myeloma.

Medication Adherence Among Multimorbid Patients With Polypharmacy and Its Relation to Social Support at National Guard Primary Health Care Centers, Riyadh.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to estimate the prevalence of nonadherence to medication in multimorbid patients with polypharmacy and its relationship to social support in primary healthcare centers in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional, convenience-sample, non-randomized study in three primary healthcare centers managed by National Guard Health Affairs. The participants included 417 adult patients - (a) with two or more chronic illnesses and (b) who were taking two or more medications.

Phlegmasia Cerulea Dolens Secondary to COVID-19 and May-Thurner Syndrome: A Case Report.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is associated with significant thromboembolic risk. Extensive deep vein thrombosis can infrequently progress to phlegmasia cerulea dolens that carries high morbidity and mortality rates. We report a case of a middle-aged male presenting with phlegmasia cerulea dolens in the context of COVID-19 and underlying May-Thurner syndrome, associated with transiently positive antiphospholipid antibodies.

A comprehensive profile of cefpodoxime proxetil including the nomenclatures, formulae, elemental composition, appearance, uses, and applications. The methods which were developed for the preparation of the drug substance and their respective schemes are outlined. The physical characteristics of the drug including the ionization constant, solubility, X-ray powder diffraction pattern, differential scanning calorimetry, thermal behavior, and spectroscopic studies are included.
