Paediatric rhinolith: Case report and literature review.

Introduction: Rhinolithiasis, the presence of nasal stones, is uncommon in children. It can pose a diagnostic challenge because of the unusual presentation and difficulties associated with its identification.

Presentation Of Case: This article describes a 2-year-old boy who came to our clinic with his parents complaining of foul-smelling nasal discharge, which was unilateral and greenish in color.

Endoscopic repair of nasal septal perforation with anterior ethmoidal artery flap using tunnel technique.

Purpose: Septal perforations (SPs) present a distinct challenge. There are many described surgical approaches with variable success rates. The goal of this study is to describe a new technique in repairing SP.

Massive Bilateral Middle Turbinate Concha Bullosa: A Case Report.

Concha bullosa (CB) manifests as a commonly encountered anatomical variant within the middle turbinate; nevertheless, the incidence of sinusitis attributable to CB is notably uncommon. This case represents chronic rhinosinusitis associated with an unusually massive bilateral CB reaching the floor of the nasal cavity which was treated surgically by performing functional endoscopic sinus surgery and partial middle turbinectomy. This case report aims to contribute to the existing knowledge in the field of otolaryngology by elucidating the surgical options associated with massive middle turbinate CB and ultimately improving the care provided by otolaryngology surgeons for patients with similar conditions.

Chitogel with deferiprone following endoscopic sinus surgery: improved wound healing and microbiome.

Background: Adhesion formation, sinus ostial narrowing, and presence of pathogenic bacteria are associated with poor outcomes following endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) for chronic rhinosinusitis. Chitogel has been shown to improve wound healing, restore a healthier microbiome, and reduce post-operative infections post ESS. Deferiprone has antibacterial properties and has been shown to reduce adhesion formation.

Rare Presentation of Bilateral Lobular Capillary Hemangioma of the Nasal Septum: A Case Report.

Lobular capillary hemangioma (LCH) is a benign, rapidly growing lesion affecting the skin and mucous membranes. LCH is common in the oral cavity but is rarely observed in the nasal cavity. The disease etiology is not fully understood; however, trauma and hormonal changes are attributable factors.

Background: Postoperative infections following endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) impair wound healing and lead to poor outcomes. The aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness of Chitogel to reduce postoperative infections and restore a healthy microbiome following ESS.

Methods: In this double-blinded randomized control trial, 25 patients undergoing ESS were prospectively recruited.
