Introduction: Esophageal Cancer (EC) ranks among the most common malignancies worldwide. Most EC patients acquire drug resistance to chemotherapy either intrinsically or acquired after T-DM1 treatment, which shows that increasing or decreasing the expression of particular genes might influence chemotherapeutic sensitivity or resistance. Therefore, gaining a deeper understanding of the altered expression of genes involved in EC drug resistance and developing new therapeutic methods are essential targets for continued advancement in EC therapy.

Methods: Differentially expressed genes were explored between human gastric cancerous and noncancerous tissues, and Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes signaling pathway enrichment analyses were done.
In the present research, microstructure, texture, roughness, hardness, and electrochemical behavior of AISI 316L austenitic stainless steel before and after shot peening were studied to elucidate the effect of conventional and severe shot peening (CSP and SSP) processes. After the shot peening, the fraction of strain-induced martensite (SIM) and mechanical twins (MTs) in the sub-surface layer was increased. The fraction of SIM and MTs in the SSP sample was higher than in the CSP sample.

In the current study, the effect of MHTh on the enhanced uptake of the FDA-approved chemotherapy drug, liposomal doxorubicin (dox) in syngeneic 4T1 tumors was investigated. Doxorubicin has inherent fluorescence properties having an emission signal at 590 nm upon excitation with a 480 nm laser.

Eco-friendly approaches, such as employing vegetation, prove effective in satisfying the requirements of both engineering and environmental considerations in slope engineering. The research aims to comprehensively assess and compare the environmental, economic, and slope stability of new stabilization methods, including vegetation cover, in comparison to conventional approaches such as anchorage and nailing.

Encapsulation of proteolytic enzymes is one of the suggested strategies to tackle this problem. In this regard, the antibacterial and anti-biofilm activity of biocompatible hyaluronic acid- Lysine nanogels containing serratiopeptidase (SRP-loaded HA-Lys nanogel) was assessed against P.

The intervention consisted of a 2-month group leisure participation program, conducted twice a week, followed by a 2-month follow-up period. Primary outcome measures included occupational performance and occupational balance, and secondary outcome measures were leisure participation, quality of life, and drug craving.

Design: Two separate focus groups were conducted in Darmstadt, Germany: one group consisting of six pwNC and another group consisting of four health care professionals and three volunteering service providers. The focus groups were audio-recorded, transcribed and data were managed using NVivo12.
Infertility has been recognized as a distressing experience among couples worldwide, cutting across various cultures. This present study was conducted to assess the impact of a supportive stress management program led by an infertility coach for women undergoing fertility treatment. This randomized controlled clinical trial study was performed on 60 infertile women undergoing assisted reproductive techniques at Maryam Infertility Center located in Sari in 2018.

Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) is a pre-invasive stage of cervical cancer, the major cause of which is human papillomavirus (HPV), and vaccination has a promising effect on reducing the progression of CIN lesions. The current study was a retrospective case control investigation in two centers, Shiraz and Sari Universities of Medical Sciences from 2018 to 2020 to evaluate the effect of quadrivalent HPV vaccination on CIN lesions (I, II, and III).

Although there are several studies to examine self-care in medical conditions, there are not enough concepts and data related to sexual self-care. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of explaining the status of sexual self-care and its predictor factors in women of reproductive age referring to healthcare centers.

Core needle biopsy (CNB) guided by imaging modalities seems to be an acceptable modality for diagnosis of lymphoma due to its safety, good applicability, availability as well as diagnostic accuracy, however; Studies have not reached a consensus on its diagnostic accuracy and factors affecting its performance. The present study aimed to assess the value of ultrasound-guided cervical CNB in the diagnosis of lymphoma in suspected patients. This cross-sectional study was performed on 46 consecutive patients (20 to 82 years) with cervical mass or lymphadenopathy suspected of lymphoma and were candidates for diagnostic evaluation.

We describe our experience with intravenous antibiotic therapy for patients with cardiology diagnoses who require a period of antibiotics in our outpatient service during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 15 patients were selected to have outpatient antibiotic therapy (age range 36 to 97 years, 60% male).

Case Presentation: We present the case of an adult 31-year-old Persian female patient with a cervical mass and no other significant medical history.
Embolic events causing stroke and intracranial haemorrhage are among the most catastrophic complications of infective endocarditis (IE).A female patient presented with acute unilateral weakness following a 3-month history of fever, for which she had multiple remote consultations with her general practitioner. Objectives: Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are a small group of cells resistant to therapy and play a major role in tumor progression, recurrence, and poor clinical outcomes of patients. This study aimed to evaluate the association of CSC markers with clinicopathologic features and survival in patients with salivary gland carcinomas (SGCs).
Materials And Methods: The medical records of 48 patients affected by mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) and 47 patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma (AdCC) were reviewed retrospectively.
Background: People's perceptions of events like a pandemic are shaped by individual experiences within their socio-cultural context. Attributing negative or positive meanings to an experience may influence the sense of Being, Belonging and Becoming.
Aim And Objectives: To investigate the impact of the isolation/social distancing measures on people's sense of Being, Belonging, Becoming and overall sense of Occupational Wholeness compared to the time before the Covid-19 Pandemic as it is perceived by an Iranian population.
Background: Education in vulnerable communities can be a health affordable strategy to promote patient empowerment.
