Kidney tissue injury in renal artery stenosis (RAS) involves inflammation, endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS), and mitochondria damage. Tumor necrosis factor-stimulated gene-6 (TSG-6), an endogenous reparative molecule, may decrease ERS and improve renal function.
