Complications of neonatal circumcision are generally minor and occur early; a few reports exist on the late or serious kind. The authors describe a case of urethrocutaneous fistula occurring 13 years postcircumcision. The patient also had a skin bridge, another late complication of circumcision.

Ebstein's anomaly is characterized by a downward displacement of the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle due to anomalous attachment of the tricuspid leaflets. Echocardiography is the method of choice to diagnose Ebstein's anomaly on its own or in association with other heart defects.

Short-lasting paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia was diagnosed following 12-lead electrocardiography (ECG). A mass that included two-thirds of the interventricular septum and the left ventricular cavity was seen by two-dimensional echocardiography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Objectives: To compare the range of motion of the atlantoaxial joint in patients with acute torticollis with those of normals as measured from computed tomography scans, to look for the existence of atlantoaxial rotatory fixation in any position (subluxation or normal range of motion) in this group of patients, and to clarify the definition of atlantoaxial rotatory subluxation by measuring the atlantodental interval and analyzing the location of the center of rotation in patients as well as normal controls.
Summary Of Background Data: Although acute acquired torticollis is usually termed atlantoaxial rotatory subluxation or atlantoaxial rotatory fixation, the radiologic definition of these conditions is not clear.

Background: Although there have been numerous studies on the treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip, few have focused on its natural history into adulthood. We observed valgus deformity of the knee in a group of adult patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip. To the best of our knowledge, there has been no detailed study of that condition.

Objective: To investigate the pediatric pedicle morphology with the help of modern computed tomography technology.
Summary Of Background Data: The use of pedicular screws recently has gained popularity because of their ability to provide three-dimensional correction of spinal deformity.
Dynamic computerized tomography (DCT) has been accepted to be the standard diagnostic method of atlantoaxial rotatory subluxation (AARS) although its reliability and reproducibility has not been shown yet. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the intraobserver reproducibility and interobserver reliability of DCT. Standard DCT scans of 18 patients with acute torticollis and 12 normal subjects were examined two times in between a time interval of 1 month by three specialists and a last-year resident to define any existing AARS.

The authors present an 8-year old boy with nontraumatic myositis ossificans circumscripta in the left paravertebral muscle. In diagnostic workup, ultrasonography and computed tomography (CT)-scan showed a well marginated, regular, ossified mass in the paravertebral muscle, but we were not able to exclude malignancy on the clinical grounds.

Arthrogram and MR images were obtained with the hips in neutral position and in 20 degrees flexion-abduction and internal rotation. Modified arthrographic index (AI) was used for the evaluation of sphericity and acetabulum head index (AHI) was used for the assessment of containment.

In those studies, the parameters related to P wave duration during the release phase of the Valsalva maneuver were evaluated. The authors evaluated P wave amplitude as well as P wave duration during the strain phase of the Valsalva maneuver.

The mean curve Cobb angle was 58 degrees at the time of SCRI. The mean apical vertebral rotation at the time of presentation was 20 degrees.

Methods: Serum samples were collected from 81 subjects (74 prostitutes and seven homosexual men) at high risk of sexually transmitted infection and from 81 healthy controls (74 females and seven males). Sera of patients and controls were tested for TTV, hepatitis A virus, hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, and human immunodeficiency virus.
We retrospectively evaluated 200 hips of 129 patients with the diagnosis of developmental dysplasia of the hip treated with closed reduction and hip spica cast. There were 153 female and 47 male hips in the group. The mean age of the patients at the time of the reduction were six (range.

Transpedicular intracorporeal grafting in combination with short-segment instrumentation has been offered as an alternative to prevent failure. However, concern still remains about the potential complication of further canal narrowing or failure of remodeling with this technique.

Objectives: To identify the regional and global apexes of curves in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and to compare the levels of those with the most rotated vertebral levels on computed tomography scans.
Summary Of Background Data: The terminology regarding the terms and definitions had been arbitrary until being refined and standardized by the Scoliosis Research Society Working Group on Three-Dimensional Terminology of Spinal Deformity.
Salmonella infections lead to several clinical syndromes such as acute gastroenteritis and bacteremia. Less frequent manifestations are extraintestinal focal infections, including urinary tract infections. A 10-month-old boy was admitted to the hospital with recurrent urinary tract infections treated with antibiotics.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of transpedicular grafting in preventing failure of short-segment fixation for the treatment of thoracolumbar burst fractures.
Summary Of Background Data: Short-segment pedicle instrumentation for thoracolumbar burst fractures is known to fail early because of the absence of anterior support.
Background: Implant systems that realign and stabilize a deformed spine continue to evolve. The purpose of the study of this case series was to determine the safety and effectiveness of a system designed to integrate hook, wire, screw, and post anchors for the treatment of a wide spectrum of neuromuscular disorders associated with pelvic deformity or the potential for deformity.
Methods: Forty-seven consecutive patients who had a spinal deformity that was due to cerebral palsy or an upper motor-neuron cerebral palsy-like disease (thirty-one patients), myelomeningocele (nine), Duchenne muscular dystrophy (four), or other disorders (three) were managed with Isola-Galveston instrumentation and arthrodesis.
