Objective: The objective of this study was to assess the intraoperative accuracy and feasibility of 3D-printed marker-based mixed-reality neurosurgical navigation for spinal intradural pathologies.

Methods: The authors produced 3D segmentations of spinal intradural tumors with neighboring structures by using combined CT and MRI, and preoperative registration of pathology and markers was successfully performed. A patient-specific, surgeon-facilitated application for mobile devices was built, and a mixed-reality light detection and ranging (LIDAR) camera on a mobile device was employed for cost-effective, high-accuracy spinal neuronavigation.

Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is a progressive and benign osteodystrophic disease where cranial bones are most commonly affected. We retrospectively analysed the prognostic significance of serum albumin, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and albumin to ALP ratio (AAPR) and other prognostic factors affecting the overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in 200 cervical cancer patients treated with definitive chemoradiotherapy (CRT). The prognostic factors for OS and DFS, in addition to the predictive factors of albumin, ALP and AAPR, were investigated. Older age, lymph node metastasis, non-complete response (CR) to treatment and low serum albumin levels emerged as predictors of poor OS and PFS in multivariate analysis.
