Regulated cell death, including pyroptosis, apoptosis, and necroptosis, is vital for the body's defense system. Recent research suggests that these three types of cell death are interconnected, giving rise to a new concept called PANoptosis. PANoptosis has been linked to various diseases, making it crucial to comprehend its mechanism for effective treatments.

We sought to verify this concept by utilizing data sourced from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) alongside clinical samples.
Materials And Methods: In this bioinformatics and experimental study, RNA-seq data from 12 common cancers were collected from TCGA Pan-Cancer Atlas using the R package "TCGA BIOLINKS" and normalized for analysis.
Introduction: The therapeutic method for many malignant and non-malignant diseases is hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), but it is not always fully successful in all patients. Indeed, HSCT can be influenced by a variety of factors. Here we reviewed the effect of microRNAs (miRs) on HSCT-related outcomes, like survival, infections, relapse, engraftment, and so on, systematically.

Therefore, it is necessary to identify the information needs of such parents and support them to help children adapt to the new situation, recover to pre-accident conditions, and reintegrate into school and society. This study aimed to investigate the perceived information needs of family caregivers of children admitted to the burn wards of hospitals.

The little success in developing effective treatments imposes a high and regressive economic impact on society, patients and their families. In recent years, regenerative medicine has provided a great opportunity to research new innovative strategies with strong potential to treatleva these diseases.

Self-esteem refers to the appraisal of one's worth and personality, whereas optimism reflects a positive attitude and the expectation of positive outcomes. Therefore, the present study aims to determine the average self-esteem and optimism of patients with depression in 2022.

Nevertheless, conventional methods for disinfecting these microorganisms are often ineffective. Additionally, they come with disadvantages such as high energy usage, negative environmental consequences, increased expenses, and the generation of harmful byproducts.

Introduction And Importance: Pyknodysostosis is a rare genetic disorder characterized by skeletal and craniofacial abnormalities. It is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations in the gene encoding cathepsin K. Pyknodysostosis is associated with short stature, brittle bones, and distinctive facial features.

Methods: In a cross-sectional study, 290 health volunteers referring to Qazvin health centers in 2020 were selected through Multi-stage random sampling. Data were collected using a health literacy questionnaire (HELIA) and a questionnaire for the adoption of walking behaviors for the prevention of osteoporosis, and they were analyzed using descriptive statistics and logistic regression in SPSS software version 23.
is an exceedingly rare entity associated with high mortality and morbidity. Hereby, we present a 37-year-old patient with underlying systemic lupus erythematosus and end-stage renal disease who was diagnosed with involving native mitral valve. Her blood culture grew Cryptococcus neoformans.

Diagnosis of this malignant tumor is difficult, and complications are related to the pressure it can exert on surrounding body organs. Up to 50 % of STS patients develop metastatic disease, which greatly affects the prognosis and is challenging for the treating physician.

We report a 27-year-old man with suprapubic severe pain, purulent discharge from the urethra and dribbling. He had a history of psychotic disorders and inserting an ink chamber of a pen into the urethra.

Case Report: We report a case of pseudohyponatremia in a 60-year-old man with rectal cancer with extensive metastasis to the liver. While assessing the patient for hyponatremia, extremely elevated serum cholesterol with normal serum osmolality was detected leading to the diagnosis of pseudohyponatremia.
Methanogens and anaerobic methane-oxidizing archaea (ANME) are important players in the global carbon cycle. Methyl-coenzyme M reductase (MCR) is a key enzyme in methane metabolism, catalyzing the last step in methanogenesis and the first step in anaerobic methane oxidation. Divergent mcr and mcr-like genes have recently been identified in uncultured archaeal lineages.

This sustainable material can be produced from locally-available agro wastes. The present study, for the first time, investigated the effects of biochars produced from oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) and rice husk (RH) on the efficiency of imazapic and imazapyr (two polar members of imidazolinone herbicides) as well as Onduty®, a mixture of them.

Materials And Methods: A total of 108 men with BPH symptoms, age of ≥ 50 years, and International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) ≥ 8 entered into the parallel group randomized, double-blind clinical trial with balanced randomization. The treatment group received of 3mg melatonin plus 0.
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia following cardiac surgery, leading to hemodynamic impairment and increased mortality and morbidity after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and increases hospitalization. Due to the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of vitamin C as well as the antiarrhythmic effect of amiodarone in reducing the incidence of atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass grafting, we decided to compare and evaluate the prophylactic effect of amiodarone alone and in combination with vitamin C in controlling this complication. In this double-blind clinical trial, patients were divided into two equal groups of amiodarone (300 mg amiodarone bolus during 20-30 minutes) and amiodarone + vitamin C (150 mg amiodarone and 2g vitamin C combination).
