Can ChatGPT Provide Quality Information on Integrative Oncology? A Brief Report.

This short report evaluated the accuracy and quality of information provided by ChatGPT regarding the use of complementary and integrative medicine for cancer. Using the QUality Evaluation Scoring Tool, a panel of 12 reviewers assessed ChatGPT's responses to 8 questions. The study found that ChatGPT provided moderate-quality responses that were relatively unbiased and not misleading.

Background: Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are a group of haematological malignancies that can be characterised by a somatic mutation (JAK2V617F). This mutation causes the bone marrow to produce excessive blood cells and is found in polycythaemia vera (~95%), essential thrombocythaemia and primary myelofibrosis (both ~50%). It is considered as a major genetic factor contributing to the development of these MPNs.
