RUNX1-Survivin Axis Is a Novel Therapeutic Target for Malignant Rhabdoid Tumors.

Malignant rhabdoid tumor (MRT) is a highly aggressive pediatric malignancy with no effective therapy. Therefore, it is necessary to identify a target for the development of novel molecule-targeting therapeutic agents. In this study, we report the importance of the runt-related transcription factor 1 () and RUNX1-Baculoviral IAP (inhibitor of apoptosis) Repeat-Containing 5 (BIRC5/survivin) axis in the proliferation of MRT cells, as it can be used as an ideal target for anti-tumor strategies.

[Neuroendovascular Treatment for Cerebral Embolism in a Patient just after Aortic Valve Replacement；Report of a Case].

A 67-year-old woman suffered from severe aortic stenosis and atrial fibrillation, and underwent aortic valve replacement with a St. Jude Medical Regent 23-mm valve and pulmonary vein isolation using an AtriCure Isolator Synergy.At 6 days after the operation, she experienced sudden onset of atrial fibrillation, left side paralysis, and dysarthria.

[Endovascular coil embolization for a ruptured distal anterior choroidal artery aneurysm showing definite short-term enlargement: a case report].

Distal anterior choroidal artery aneurysms are quite rare, and appropriate treatment timing and methods remain unclear.
