Gallstone ileus is a rare but important cause of small bowel obstruction in the geriatric population. A 65-year-old man with a twenty year history of cholecystolithiasis was admitted to our hospital with abdominal pain and vomiting. Physical exams showed abdominal defence and rebound tenderness.

We report here a case of extrahepatic biliary schwannoma found in a 47-yr-old Japanese woman presenting with obstructive jaundice. The radiological imaging studies were suggestive of nonepithelial tumor involving the common bile duct.

We present a rare occurrence of woman monozygotic twins with ulcerative colitis (UC). A 21-year-old woman came to our hospital because of diarrhea, abdominal pain and hematochezia. We diagnosed this case as proctitis type UC by endoscopic and histological findings.

Methods: Sixty-two patients with biliary obstruction due to unresectable pancreatic cancer underwent biliary stenting. On the basis of the findings obtained by percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography (10 patients) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiography (52 patients), the site of obstruction was distal to the hilar confluence, predominantly especially in the middle to lower third of the common bile duct.
