A rapid, facile, and green spectrofluorometric method was developed for the concurrent precise estimation of itraconazole and ibuprofen. The developed method involved the use of Tween-80 micelle as a green sample matrix for the efficient assay of the analytes of interest. Besides the greenness of Tween-80, it significantly enhanced the native fluorescence of itraconazole by about 450%.

The reported methods for nitroxinil analysis included expensive instrumentation, the need for skilled operators, and tedious procedures. Fluorimetry is one of the fastest and simplest methods widely used; hence, we aimed to develop a simple, cost-effective, and convenient fluorometric approach for the estimation of nitroxinil in various matrices.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTwo rapid, simple, sensitive and selective derivative spectrofluorimetric methods (first and second derivative synchronous spectrofluorimetric (FDSFS and SDSFS) procedures) have been developed for the analysis of florfenicol in the presence of its various degradation products. FDSFS was applied to assay the drug in the presence of its alkaline, oxidative and photolytic degradation products while SDSFS was used to quantify it in the presence of its acidic degradation product. These methods permitted quantification of florfenicol at corresponding of 288, 287, 279 and 284 nm without interferences from any of its degradation products.

Herein, we developed a rapid, one-step, and cost-effective methodology based on the fabrication of water-soluble self-nitrogen, sulfur, and phosphorus co-doped black seed carbon quantum dots (BSQDs) via microwaveirradiation in six minutes. Our synthesis approach is superior to those in the literature as they involved long-time heating (12 h) with sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide and/or high temperatures (200 °C). A full factorial design was applied to obtain the most efficient synthesis conditions.

Combination therapy of the antiviral favipiravir and the anticoagulant apixaban is one of the efficient treatment regimens. Therefore, development of novel and sensitive methods for simultaneous analysis of such combination is highly advantageous.

Therefore, development of new, simple, rapid, sensitive, and selective methods for analysis of such drugs in their pharmaceutical formulations will be highly advantageous. Herein, we have developed different spectrophotometric methods for analysis of the studied analytes.

Such a co-administered combination is clinically used for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms. Both compounds are characterized by their native fluorescence spectra upon excitation at specific wavelengths.

A sensitive and direct spectrofluorimetric method was developed for simultaneous quantitation of two co-administered drugs, namely, alfuzosin hydrochloride (AFH) and vardenafil hydrochloride (VRH). Both drugs exhibited native fluorescence properties that could be exploited to assay them in biological fluids with high sensitivity. Spectrofluorimetric analysis of AFH and VRH is based on excitation of both drugs at 265 nm where emission spectra were recorded separately for AFH and VRH at 380 and 485 nm, respectively.

In this work, different chemometric calibration models were developed and validated for the purpose of determining of ternary mixture of oral antidiabetic drugs; vildagliptin (VDG), saxagliptin (SAX) and sitagliptin phosphate (STG). The used models were Partial least squares (PLS) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). However, on these various models the impact of genetic algorithm (GA) as a form of variable selection was also investigated.

Two simple spectrophotometric methodologies have been proposed and validated for the measurement of an atypical antipsychotic drug Clozapine (CLZ). Method A depends on interaction of CLZ with N-bromosuccinimide(NBS) resulting in formation of a yellowish orange colored product, measured at 320 nm. The linearity range was 5.
