Prevalence and determinants of low back pain among residents in Abha City, Saudi Arabia.

Background: Healthcare work is a major risk for having musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), including low back pain (LBP). This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of LBP and define its associated risk factors among resident physicians.

Material And Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted among all resident physicians of all specialties in Abha city during the period from July 2020 to September 2020.

Scoliosis is a medical condition in which a person's spine has an abnormal curvature and Cobb angle is a measurement used to evaluate the severity of a spinal curvature. Presently, automatic Existing Cobb angle measurement techniques require huge dataset, time-consuming, and needs significant effort. So, it is important to develop an unsupervised method for the measurement of Cobb angle with good accuracy.

Fibrocartilaginous dysplasia: What do we know so far?

Fibrocartilaginous dysplasia has been described as a rare variant of fibrous dysplasia. This lesion will appear in imaging as ground glass matrix similar to fibrous dysplasia, but it will also show rings and arcs calcifications. In turn, this can lead to misdiagnosing fibrocartilaginous dysplasia as primary cartilaginous lesion such as enchondroma or chondrosarcoma, neccesating histopathological confirmation.

Unilateral Hypertrophy of Tensor Fascia Lata: A Case Report.

Hypertrophy of the tensor fascia lata muscle is a rare entity that may be observed in patients presenting with a palpable mass in the antero-lateral aspect of the proximal thigh area. Imaging confirms the diagnosis of such a rare entity. This case report highlights a case of isolated hypertrophy of the tensor fascia lata muscle with no identifiable etiology.

Case report of intra-articular synovial sarcoma in the hip joint.

Synovial sarcoma is a type of soft tissue sarcoma that commonly occurs around large joints. However, primary intra-articular synovial sarcoma is considered an extremely rare variant of synovial sarcoma. We present a case of synovial sarcoma arising from the hip joint in a 17-year-old female patient.

Giant cell tumor of bone following denosumab treatment: assessment of tumor response using various imaging modalities.

Background: Giant cell tumor (GCT) is a nonmalignant neoplasm composed of multinucleated giant and mononuclear stromal cells. This study aimed to compare imaging findings of GCT pre- and post-denosumab treatment, including lesion size, percentage of signal intensity/density change, and time of initial objective tumor response. This will have a great impact on selection of most appropriate imaging technique to accurately measure therapy response and its related complications, which would influence the physicians to tailor the treatment regimen to suit each patient.
